Ash, Brock, Misty, and Pikachu were on their way to Cerulean City to drop Misty off. Misty had decided to go home, and stay home as another gym leader. Misty kept thinking about if she should go or not. Ash didn't like the idea either, but the two were unaware that they were thinking the same thoughts. The 4 walked up to the Gym doors. It was night. "Um, guys, I gotta go do something, catch you later!" Brock ran off into the city.





"Wonder what he's up to," Misty said. Pikachu started pulling on Misty's shoelace. "I'm gonna miss you, Pikachu." Misty picked up Pikachu and hugged him.
"Pika…" Pikachu licked Misty's face. Pikachu got down and ran back to Ash. Ash just stood there for a while, not knowing what to say. Misty was doing the same thing.






"Well, goodbye, Misty." Ash turned around and started to walk off.



"Goodbye…" Misty just stood in front of the gym doors, watching Ash leave. One of Misty's sisters were standing behind her. But Misty didn't know she was there. She was just thinking about Ash, all the adventures they had getting the Badges. Even since the first day they met, when Misty 'fished' him out of the pond.

Misty looked down and a tear drop fell from her eye. Misty's sister walks up to her and puts a hand on Misty's shoulder. "Don't cry, why won't you follow him?"
"Because, he might think differently of me."
"Maybe he already has, Misty."



I want to go back, but I just can't…
"Just go, follow your dream, follow him!" Misty looks at up to the stars. Misty looks back at her sister and smiles.
"You're right, I will follow my dreams, I will follow him!"
I won't leave you! I want to be with you forever and ever! You see? I am coming back!
Misty runs out the gym door.
Forever and ever shall I be with you!



Pikachu and Ash slowly walk down the street. Ash looks really sad, just for not saying anything to Misty. Just a single Goodbye. Ash thought about the adventures they had, all the fun, the excitement... Ash stops walking and thinks back.

"Pika, Pika..." Ash looks at Pikachu. Pikachu had already started crying. "PIKA!"


"Pika..."



I want to go back…


But I just can't...
"You miss her too, don't you?"

(Pika!) I should listen to the cute guy, but I just can't. (Pikachu…)

"Pika-Pi!" Pikachu starts pulling on Ash's leg.
Walk back, I will! I won't leave you! I want to be with you, forever and ever!
Follow your dream, follow her!

Ash turns around. "I will follow my dream! I will go back!" Ash starts running back toward the gym. Misty could be seen in the horizon, running toward Ash's direction.

"Ash!"
See? I won't leave you, I want to be with you forever and ever!

"Misty!"

I can't leave you either, I want to be with you forever and ever!
Ash and Misty run and stop, right in front of each other.
Brock and Misty's sisters could be seen in the bushes.
Ash and Misty just stare at each other, like there was nothing else to do. They were both smiling but they couldn't figure out why the other person was smiling back at them.
You see? I do miss you! You see? I do miss you!

Brock broke the silence by yelling "SURPRISE!" and throwing a fake bug at Misty. Misty screams and jumps right on to Ash, hugging him.

"Finally, got you two to hug," Brock said. Misty's sisters came out from hiding.
"Ash! B-bug! Get it away!" Misty turns her head towards Brock and her sisters, and notices that they are smiling. Misty slowly separates from Ash. Ash bends down to take closer look at the bug.
"A fake bug?"




We are together, but what will happen now? Our adventure would never end!





"A-a fake bug?" Misty stammered. Misty bends down for a closer look. "It is a fake bug!" Misty gets steamed mad and Ash and the others laugh. Just another day for Ash's team.
