Also known as Tomoe Hotaru - First appeared in Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon manga 9 and Bishoujo Senshi SailormoonSuper episode 125.

Tomoe Hotaru (Firefly of the Soil) is the last one to become a senshi. She is the daughter of professor Soichi Tomoe and they are very close to each other. Hotaru is a frail looking girl with short purplish-black hair. Hotaru has no friends, most of the kids in her school avoid her because of her unusually sickly appearance and her strange healing ability. Further she sometimes hurts people and doesn't remember it because the evil inside her, Mistress 9, occasionally controls her body. Nevertheless Chibi Usa becomes Hotaru's first real friend. She has a soft and caring heart, although she knows that she needs help, she tries not to be close to Chibi Usa in order not to endanger her only friend. Mistress 9 is a Daimon of the Death Busters. Chibi Usa' s pure heart crystal, stolen by Kaolinite, makes Hotaru transform into Mistress 9, the Dark Messiah. Mistress 9 is a very powerful and clever opponent. Sailoruranus and Sailorneptune are no match for her. With the help and protection of Sailormoon Hotaru gains her power as Senshi of Destruction, destroys Mistress 9 with her will power and reappears as Sailorsaturn. Sailoruranus and Sailorneptune are afraid of Sailorsaturn because they think her appearance means the end of the world. But Sailorsaturn, whose weapon is the Silence Glaive, is willing to sacrifice her life to save the world. She knows that if she uses her full power to destroy planets it means her own destruction/death. So she goes to fight the battle with Pharaoh 90. Only owing the power of Sailormoon' s pure heart she can be saved and is reborn as a baby. Hotaru starts a new life with her father, who doesn't remember anything.

Sailor Saturn is the symbol of Death,Because she is the Messiah of Darkness & Silence.Sailor Uranus &Sailor Neptune thought that the only way to save the world from Total destruction is to kill Sailor Saturn.
