It was a dark and stormy night. Actually it was more dark and deary. It was 1 o'clock in the morning, and a bunch of friends gathered around the TV set, eagerly waiting for the late night horror movie.
"Hey Darren, come and join us," said Daniel, holding a huge bowl of popcorn. "It's a vampire movie - you'll love it!"
"Oh all right," replied a half-asleep Darren. "But only because it's about vampires." He liked vampires but didn't really have a liking for horror movies. He sat down on the couch and watched the movie, helping himself to the popcorn and candy.
"Beware of McPherin," said one of the vampires in the movie. "He can get really angry at times!" The whole movie was about The Order Of Vampires, headed by someone named Alistair McPherin. A person from Earth was picked by Alistair to be a vampire, and he was to undergo a rite of passage to vampirehood.
"Gee, I wonder if Alistair existed," said Daniel when the movie ended.
"Why? You want to be a vampire?" asked Darren jokingly.
"No - I want to send YOU to him!" replied Daniel. "You and your vampire novels...seriously, you look like one every minute!" Darren was taken aback, and looked at himself. Sure, he was a little paler than usual, but he was nowhere close to being a bloodsucker.
"Well, better get back to sleep," said Leonie. "It's almost 3 a.m." Everyone made to their beds and had sweet dreams...all except one.
