"Yep, that's you," replied Darren. "Now are you convinced?" Daniel was convinced, but he also was in disbelief. He couldn't tell whether it was his pure talent or some freak power given to him by Marcus the magician.
"Well...sort of...but how?" asked Daniel. "Is it me...or the powder?"
"I don't know for certain," said Anna-Maria. "But you sure don't realize the extent of your power!" Anna-Maria was right. Daniel had the potential to be anything...do whatever...name it, he can do it. He just didn't know it.
"That makes one extra power to Dan's Power List," noted Leonie. "What else can he do?"
"What else is there?" asked Daniel, slightly agitated. "Sometimes I don't even want to know!" The rest was surprised.
"But Daniel...what do you mean?" asked Michelle.
"I can't have all this power for free, you know," said Daniel. "I'm sure there's a catch to it. A side-effect or something. I don't know!" Everyone was silent. Daniel did have a point there.
"Besides, who knows what you guys might want to do with me," continued Daniel. "It ain't nice being used, you know!" Daniel walked off to his room, leaving everyone behind in deep thought.
"God, I never thought of that," said Walter, breaking the silence. "We might have used him...what with his immense power..."
"But surely he could foretell this?" asked Nicole.
"He probably didn't think about it," said Ben. "I don't think he really wants to talk about this now."
"Well, we've got to do SOMETHING," said Joan. "If Daniel's unhappy about his powers, we should at least console him!"
"But how?" asked Leonie. "We can't say we know how he feels coz we don't! It's not like we're Superman or Wonderwoman or something!"
"Leonie's right - it's no point," said Darren. "All we have to do is wait...and see if Daniel's okay."
