Darren and Kat were awakened by the chirrups of the birds the next morning. Darren listened carefully to the songs of the birds just in case he gains inspiration, which he did. Hey, their songs could be used for our next album, thought Darren. Better tell Daniel about it as soon as I get home...if I get home...

"Good morning Darren," said Kat as she uncurled herself. "How was your *miaowr* sleep?"
"Oh, just fine, thank you," answered Darren, smiling. Kat climbed up to the window-sill next to Darren and pulled Darren's fingers using her paw.
"Come on, let's go outside," invited Kat. "The weather's lovely today!" Both Darren and Kat went outside into the garden, with Darren carrying Kat's soft body into his arms.

"Thanks for the ride," said Kat as the both of them walked around the garden. "My paws are a little worn out from all that walking yesterday."
"My pleasure," replied Darren, who sat down on a rock for a while to rest his legs. Kat ran down from his arms and ran around the rock while Darren tried to catch her. Everytime she stalled, Kat would look deep into Darren's eyes as if she's trying to get Darren's attention, which she did. Darren would get a strange feeling everytime he saw her eyes...a strange feeling of...

Deja vu, Darren thought as he finally caught Kat. First it was the voice...now the eyes...have I met her before? That nagging thought stayed with Darren throughout the rest of the day, and slowly Darren found himself falling in love with her.

What am I doing? asked Darren to himself. Why am I in love with a CAT?!? He tried to ignore all those thoughts, but to no avail. Instead, the intensity grew even more with each passing hour. And all this while, Kat would be moving playfully around him like a kitty. To console himself, Darren would think of people he knew who had crushes on cartoon characters, pets, even electrical machinery...but it didn't help him forget that he was in love with Kat, even until the night, when Darren and Kat were resting in the bedroom.

"Kat...Kat, please come here for a moment," requested Darren gently. Kat turned around and ran up to Darren.
"I'm here," replied Kat. "Is anything the matter?"
"I think so," answered Darren. "You see, when I first, erm, heard you, your voice reminded me of someone I used to know years ago. Then those eyes of yours...they were just like hers...Kat, before I go on, promise me something..."
"Sure," replied Kat, a little puzzled. "What is it?"
"Promise not to bite," said Darren. Kat nodded in a cat-like way. Darren then cupped Kat's feline face into his hands and massaged Kat's face softly, resulting in a few content purrs. This is going to be hard, thought Darren, with tears flowing from his eyes. But I've got to do it, no matter what...

"Katrina...even though you are, for now, a cat, I...I love you..." confessed Darren before he kissed Kat's small mouth tenderly. Magical music was heard around the room. Fireworks went off while sparks flew among the two. The most amazing thing that moment, though, was not the music, fireworks or sparks, for suddenly...

"Oh my goodness..."
