~*~HARRY POTTER AND THE SAVAGE GARDEN CONCERT~*~ ~*~Chapter Three~*~
Almost 24 hours had passed since Hermione's phonecall. The clock was ticking ever closer to 5 p.m. and Harry couldn't wait to get going. Uncle Vernon was there too, half-hoping the concert was a fake and Harry can't go anywhere. Harry ignored Uncle Vernon and waited outside the door. 5 minutes after 5, Harry heard the sound of a car's engines coming towards Privet Drive.
"Uncle Vernon! That must be my limo!" said Harry, as the limo pulled up towards the house. He could see Hermione and Ron sitting inside, looking at him. The driver of the limo was a lovely lady wearing an elegant evening gown - that must be Mrs Granger, Hermione's mother.
"So it is," grumbled Uncle Vernon. He knocked on the front door's window, which came down immediately. "You're from the Music Association, huh?" he asked. The lady nodded and told Harry to take a seat inside.
"Your son will be safe with us, Sir," reassured Mrs Granger, to Harry's surprise.
"He's not my son, he's my ruddy nephew," replied Uncle Vernon. "Just don't get into trouble. You and your kind..." Mrs Granger gave a puzzled look and drove off, to the relief of Harry.
"That was close - I was half-expecting Uncle Vernon to call your mom a witch," sighed Harry. "Where did you get this limo anyway?"
"Magic - it's not really a limo," replied Hermione. "It's a Merc - but I bewitched it so it'll look like a limo at the outside. I'll unbewitch it as soon as we reach Wembley."
"But I thought you weren't suppose to bewitch Muggle things!" said Harry.
"She got Dad's permission," said Ron, who was sitting at the other side of Hermione. "Dad made her promise it would only be for this instance." No wonder there isn't the usual stuff a limo has - bar, TV and all, thought Harry.
"Nice car anyway," said Harry, attracting the attention of a man sitting in front, wearing a tuxedo. This must be Mr. Granger, thought Harry. Wonder where they're going to...
"Are you joining us, Mr and Mrs Granger?" asked Ron.
"No, we've got a dinner invitation to attend," replied Mrs. Granger. "So we'll be there while you kids are at Wembley enjoying...what's their name again, Hermione?"
"SAVAGE GARDEN!" squealed an over-excited Hermione. She then turned to Harry.
"Did you get to listen to the cassettes I sent you?" asked Hermione.
"Yeah - lucky for me Dudley gets so many Walkmans for his birthday, he won't notice that one is gone," said Harry. "If the cassettes are anything to go by, this is going to be a GREAT concert."
"Hear hear!" exclaimed Ron, throwing his fist into the air. "I was at Hermione's earlier and we were listening to their new album, 'Affirmation'...it's brilliant, it should do well!"
It wasn't long before the car reached Wembley. As the car screeched to a halt, the kids scrambled out of the car, waving small flags emblazoned with the letters 'SG' that, courtesy of Hermione, changed colours with every wave. Hermione made the outside of the car look like the Mercedes it originally was - thankfully without anyone noticing.
"Tickets please," said the guard when the kids reached to the ticket barrier.
"Here you are," said Ron, handing him 3 tickets. "And have an excellent day!" Harry managed to collect the ticket stubs - they had to know where to sit - before he was left behind by the running Hermione and Ron. Hermione got really good seats for them - right at the front row.
"Woo! Here we are!" screamed Hermione, waving her flag non-stop. "Let the concert begin!"
