~*~HARRY POTTER AND THE SAVAGE GARDEN CONCERT~*~ ~*~Chapter Six~*~
Darren walked towards the backstage area, balancing bags of magical candy on his arms. He dumped the load onto the dressing table, just before Daniel came in.
"Hey Darren," gretted Daniel just before his eyes glanced over the confectionaries. "Whoa! Magic Sweets!" He grabbed a packet of Every Flavour Beans and popped a black-coloured one - cough syrup - into his mouth. "Where'd you get this?"
"Got it from some fans," replied Darren, who was munching on a pumpkin pasty. Daniel raised his eyebrows in surprise.
"You're not the only magical one here?" asked Daniel.
"Guess not - we've got 3 in our audience, their names are Harry, Ron and Hermione," said Darren, his eyes shooting from side to side, watching for spies. "At least I don't feel so lonely." He placed his wand next to the food, and Daniel immediately reached out for it.
"Daniel, don't..." warned Darren, but it was futile. Daniel had the wands firmly in his hands, and he was foolishly waving it about. Some sparks flew from the end of the wand, and Darren was silently praying that Daniel won't blow up his wand.
"This is fun!" giggled Daniel. "Man, you're lucky, you're magical."
"Very lucky indeed," said Darren, clenching his teeth. "May I have my wand back please?"
"Oh, sorry," apologized Daniel, handing the wand to Darren as Darren pulled it away from him. "It's just that..." He was interrupted by a very sudden 'ouch' from the side of the room.
"WHAT WAS THAT?" asked both of them in surprise. They saw someone walking in from the stage, clutching her wrist.
"Just me, Leonie, your average Savage garden-variety personal assistant," replied the girl. She was walking closer to the dressing tables, where Darren and Daniel were.
"Dumb pun," groaned Daniel. "What's the matter with you anyway?"
"I just burnt my wrist on the stage lights," complained Leonie. "They're way too hot...overheated, maybe...ouch..." Darren just laughed.
"Geez, Leo, you've burnt yourself on those lights since time immemorial," sniggered Darren. "If you can't stand the lights, why walk next to them?"
"Very funny, Darren," said Leonie, rolling her eyes. She looked at the multitude of food piled up on the table. "May I have one of those?"
"Help yourself," said Darren. His watch started beeping, so he rolled up his sleeve and looked it out. "Oh, it's time to prepare, the show's gonna start soon...come Daniel, let's go." He tucked his wand in his coat, waved to Leonie and said to her, "See you later. And don't burn yourself!"
"Don't be silly," replied Leonie as the sihoulette of Savage Garden disappeared into the distance. When they were out of sight, a sudden hissing voice floated in the air, as though saying "You're going to be burnt...you and your friends..."
