***Something Happens In My Heart***
**Part 12**

A few days has passed. The camp was still in full swing, and everyone was having fun singing, dancing, playing games and so much more. Darren was busy being referee for a soccer game when the head counselor called him over.

"Hey Darren! Here's a fax for you!" said the head counselor. Darren took the fax from his hands, allowed the soccer players time to rest and sat down to read the fax.

Dear son...huh? thought Darren in confusion. Oh, this must be for the other Darren, not for me! He looked for Darren, but he was nowhere to be seen. He decided to read the fax for himself.

Dear son,

How's the camp? I hope it's going well. Accept it as part of your belated birthday present. Have you met any friends yet? I heard that your cousin Kelly is at camp as well - have you met her? Send my regards to Aunt Leonie and give the fax to her - there's a message for her underneath yours. Have a nice camp!

Love, Dad.

Dear Leonie,

So, how's it like being a camp counselor for the first time? I wish I was there - too bad I'm overflowed with work. Is Darren behaving himself? I'm sure he is. Sned him all my love and tell him Mom loves him a lot. Oh, sorry to remind you of your sister Chardina - didn't mean to do so. Well, I've got work to catch up on. See you soon!

Regards, Daniel.

Darren understood everything right at that moment. His best friend was still around after all. No wonder Darren said his parents liked him! No wonder Leonie was here! But why?

Leonie was walking towards Darren's cubhouse to talk to him. She found Darren lying on his bed, clutching his mother's photograph near his heart.

"Hey Darren, you okay?" asked Leonie, sitting beside Darren. Darren nodded in agreement.

"We're half-way there, Aunt Leonie," said Darren. "All we have to do is get Darren and Dad to meet each other...make up their differences...become Savage Garden once again. This'll make Mom happy for sure."

"It'll make a lot of other people happy as well," said Leonie. "Think of all the fans! Think of Walter Afanasieff - he'll be happy to work with Savage Garden again. Think of the people at the Fanzine! Loads of people will be delighted!"

"Cool down, Aunt Leonie!" said Darren. "It's not over yet!" What they didn't count on right now was for the other Darren to be by their door - which was exactly what happened.

"Sorry to interrupt, but a fax came for you," said Darren. Leonie walked towards the door to collect her fax. Darren looked at Leonie's bright, sparkling eyes for a while before regaining his composure and walking away.

The only thing he said all that while was "Good luck on your journey."
