CHAPTER 5

"YE-AHH!" screamed Lamina. She shot right out of her bed. Darren heard her and tried to calm her down. Lamina began to cry.

"Honey, what's wrong?" asked Darren lovingly. "Did you have a bad dream?" Lamina nodded slowly, afraid that something bad was to happen to her. Darren placed her head on his shoulders and felt her soft tears soak his skin. In an attempt to calm her down, he softly stroked her hair and whispered.

"Don't worry, dear...it's just a dream..." whispered Darren into Lamina's ear. Easy for you to say, thought Lamina. She soon lay down and fell fast asleep. Darren kissed her on her forehead and went back to sleep as well. Soon she had a dream.

Lamina was walking around a strange forest when she saw someone who seemed lost. When she walked up to her, she was surprised to see that it was none other than...COLBY!

"What do you want?" scowled Colby, scaring Lamina a bit. "You've already taken my true love, what else do you need?"

"Colby..." said Lamina slowly, "please, don't hurt me...it was all a harmless dream...besides, I'm stuck like this for at least 10 years...what can I do?" Just then, she saw another 'Colby' in the distance. This 'Colby' merged with the other. Suddenly, the 'Colby' that was shouting at her changed her behaviour.

"Lamina, are you all right?" asked the kinder Colby. Lamina just froze, afraid that something bad would happen to her. Colby saw her expression - which wasn't much of an expression - and started to talk.

"Lamina, listen up...there's something I want to tell you..."
