"You see, Lamina, I know this has all been previously a dream, and somehow it became real. Probably that parallel world thing. Now listen, honey, I just want you to know that it's not your fault. It never was anybodys'." said Colby. Lamina just listened.
"I know how you feel - lots of people dream about famous people being their 'prince charming' or 'princess' or WHATEVER. Even Darren has a crush on a celeb nowadays...he told me once that he fancied Kate Winslet, that Titanic girl..." Lamina laughed. She loved the movie but didn't know that her fave guy had a thing about the lead actress. Colby continued to speak.
"So I'm not mad at you. No, really, that was just me being jealous. We all are at some point in our life anyway. And besides, I'm a nice person - I don't like to throw hot boiling water at anybody. ANYWAY, what I'm saying here is that it's OK to dream about Dazzie darling. Most Savage Garden fans do - if it's not Daz, it's certainly his friend, Daniel. Just be careful about what you dream, OK? Who knows if your dream may come true..." continued Colby. Lamina was in a slightly better mood.
"I get your point, Colby..." replied Lamina, "but my dream's already come true...I don't know if I want to give it up so soon. If I return to my normal life, I'll have to suffer a lifetime of bad luck...sigh..."
"That's just what I wanted to tell you!" answered Colby. "You bad luck was based on the negativity around you. The only positive thing in your life was the dreams you had, especially about Dazzles. Try to put this positiveness into real life. One day, your run of bad luck is going to end forever, trust me..."
"But how can I get out of this, Colby?" asked Lamina, sadly. "Besides, I don't want to leave..."
"Believe me, this is for your own good. Just think positive and one day your dreams WILL come true, and you'll get a guy who is SO much like Darren, you won't even know the difference," said Colby. "Now just close your eyes and think of nothing. Absolutely nothing." Lamina did as she was told and felt a sudden surge inside her. When she opened her eyes, she couldn't believe what she saw.
