The
war of the gods. |
A
race of near immortal beings living at the center of the universe,
gifted in both science and magic, stumbled into a devastating war.
One side created the indestructible Chaos, who became the huge factor
in deciding the outcome of the war. The final battle of the gods ended
with his creators as victors. |
The
eve of Chaos |
Peace
was never achieved. Built solely for war, Chaos realized that his
importance was lost at the advent of peace, and turned against his
creators. Working together against Chaos, the gods created Eden. |
|
Chaos
and Eden clashed. Eden, although meant to be stronger, was just newly
created and was too weak to decisively defeat her counterpart. |
The
Universe was born. |
The
world of the gods was eventually destroyed due to the ensuing battle.
Saddened, Eden gathered the gods' spirits into Star Seeds before Chaos
could consume them, and distributed these among the scattering debris
of their home (the "Big Bang"), offering each seed her strength
to protect them. |
|
Eden
was weakened by her endeavors to save the gods, and was easily vanquished
by Chaos. Chaos attempted to destroy Eden, but found that he could
not, so he sealed her instead, for all eternity. |
|
Chaos
created his own beings from himself, all with the sole purpose of
war and mayhem, and watched contentedly as his minions fought each
other. |
|
With
help from Eden's strength, life was born once more on each fragments
of the gods' previous home that had been planted with seeds. Eden's
protective energy effectively being drained by the production of life,
Chaos was finally able to send himself (in the form of his weaker,
but at that time effective, minions) to such places in an attempt
to destroy all free remnants of Eden. |
The
birth of the Sailor Senshi. |
The
"heavenly bodies" - fragments of the gods' former home that
had been planted by Eden's star seeds - that were able to escape Chaos'
wrath had the chance to defend themselves when the spirits in each
seed were reincarnated. |
|
The
reincarnated gods - revered by the people at their new homes, yet
carrying the heavy burden of protecting them - created satellite castles
which circled their home in an effort to ward Chaos' minions away
before they were able to reach the heavenly body that they guard.
Since the satellite castles seemingly "sail" across the
sky based from a vantage point below, the reincarnated gods came to
be called the "Sailor Senshi". |
Formation
of alliances. |
In
order to effectively defend their homes from Chaos' minions, the senshis
whose heavenly bodies are close to one another began to form alliances. |
Reconstruction
of ranks among the Sailor Senshi |
The many alliances
created between nearby heavenly bodies, made fragile because of
discord between senshi*, collapsed due to Chaos' influence with
each battle as Eden further weakened as a result of her confinement.
*The senshi,
as reincarnated gods and rulers of their own heavenly bodies, are
too proud to constantly receive orders from anybody. Effective senshi
leaders appearing as a result of the war against Chaos resulted
to arguments as the gods accuse each other of trying to take control
of the other.
|
|
Wars
between heavenly bodies ensued. The victor of the war between what
were once allied heavenly bodies became the supreme ruler, and those
that lost fall under the service of the new ruler. Other wars, in
the meantime, resulted to complete destruction, much to Chaos' enjoyment. |
War
between heavenly bodies Marduk and Tiamat. |
The
war held in this solar system eventually resulted to a showdown between
the two most powerful planets - Marduk and Tiamat. Marduk emerged
as victor, and reigns supreme among the other 9 planets. |
|
In
time, Tiamat began to rebel against Marduk's rule, and declared independence.
Another war between the two heavenly bodies ensues, with Tiamat standing
alone, while Marduk held the support of the other planets. |
The
creation of the Moon, the Earth, and the asteroid field. |
After
both sides suffered heavy casualties, Marduk once more emerged victorious.
Fearful as it had managed to hold out for so long despite the fact
that all the other planets were against it, the Marduk ruler destroyed
half of Tiamat, scattering its remains between Mars and Jupiter. All
of the heavenly body's defensive satellites were destroyed except
for the largest one. Half of the remaining population was moved to
this satellite, while half remained at what's left of the planet.
The surviving remainder of Tiamat was renamed "Earth", while
its remaining satellite, not given a name, was simply called "the
Earth's moon." Marduk threatened that if any communication between
the Earth and its moon was established, it will destroy either one
of them without mercy. |
|
The
owner of Tiamat's star seed was exiled on Earth, allowed to preside
over his home, but is powerless over the decisions of the other 9
planets. The moon was not only powerless; it had neither representatives
to Marduk's royal court, nor defenders. |
The
birth of the Dark Moon Kingdom |
A
monarchy was established at the dark side of the moon in attempts
to stabilize the chaos in that region. The people at the light side
of the moon remained nomads, scattered in various groups. |
Eden
escapes. |
After
centuries of confinement, Eden gathered her remaining strength and
escaped. After traveling as far as she could, by mere coincidence
she temporarily sought refuge on the moon, hiding in the body of the
purest soul she could find, at a village in the middle of the Sea
of Serenity. |
|
Enraged
with Eden's escape, Chaos sets out to look for her. |
The
arrival of the Kisenian flower and the destruction of Marduk. |
One
of Chaos' creations, the Kisenian flower, arrived at Marduk. Captivated
by its beauty, the population became attached to it. |
|
The
woman Eden had sought refuge on, who was obsessed with learning about
flora and fauna as her home was in reality deprived of it, studied
the Kisenian flower, and with Eden's help discovered the danger it
possessed. She tried to warn the rest of the solar system, but was
ignored as she was from the moon. |
|
Without
warning, the heavenly body Marduk was completely obliterated by the
Kisenian, sparing no one; not even the owner of Marduk's star seed.
The resulting blast - which dissipated the protective energy Eden
had granted the planet at the beginning of the universe - endangered
most of the planets of the solar system due to the unsupervised scattering
of debris and the spread of the flower's seeds. |
|
Eden
grants the woman's request and saves the rest of the solar system
from a fate similar to Marduk. |
The
Alliance was reborn, and the Moon Kingdom was established. |
The
planets witnessed the immense power coming from the woman. Grateful
for having saved their lives and their home, the other planets finally
recognized the moon and allowed its representatives into the Alliance,
which was rebuilt after the fall of Marduk. |
|
The
people on the light side of the Moon, astounded that one of their
own had such powers and was convinced that the woman was also a reincarnated
god, revered her and made her queen. |
The
Earth's separation. |
The owner of
Tiamat's star seed refused to accept the existence of another star
seed bearer coming from his former heavenly body. The ruler requested
that the Moon be brought once more under Earth. The rest of the
alliance disapproved his request*. Earth boldly withdrew itself
from the Alliance, and to self-imposed exile.
* The Moon had
not objected to the Earth's proposal to reunite Tiamat. However,
the rest of the heavenly bodies were afraid that the presence of
two reincarnated gods in one planet would cause Tiamat to become
aggressive, thus their decision not to reunite the Moon and Earth.
|
The
war that almost destroyed the solar system. |
The
power Eden had used to protect the solar system had not gone unnoticed.
Chaos arrived, looking for her. The alliance fought against him, but
their homes were rendered uninhabitable as a result of their defeat. |
The
second battle between Chaos and Eden, and the loss of Earth. |
The
final battle of the war took place on defenseless Earth. Eden defeated
Chaos at the cost of her host's life. The weapon that had been used
to beat Chaos, a blade made of poisonous stone and wielded by Eden
through her host, transformed into a powerful sword, soon to be known
as the Holy Moon Sword. |
|
The
battle had devastated Earth such that not a single life on the planet
remained. Chaos, after licking his wounds on the forsaken planet,
escaped to safely regain his strength at his stronghold somewhere
in the Universe. |
The
formation of the Ginzuishou, and the birth of the Silver Millennium. |
Eden
could do nothing for Earth as it had been badly tainted by Chaos,
but she provided the people of the other uninhabitable planets a means
of surviving. To repay her debt to the woman who had kept her, she
created a star seed from the woman's spirit, blessed it with great
powers, and granted it to the woman's successors. The star seed came
to be known as the Ginzuishou. Eden then left in hopes that Chaos
would not harm the solar system again. |
|
Owing
so much to Eden and her chosen, the members of the remaining 8 planets
swore loyalty and fealty to the new Queen of the Moon. The Grand Alliance
of the Silver Millennium was born, with the Moon Kingdom at its supreme
head. |
Life
on Earth begins anew. |
Thought
to be utterly destroyed, life on Earth developed once more. However,
the original protective life giving energy surrounding the Earth had
been severely depleted, the result of which was a shorter lifespan
for its inhabitants. |
The
Moon adopts Earth. |
The
Moon Kingdom, still loyal to its former master, took upon itself to
protect Earth. |
The
birth of the Golden Kingdom, and the forbidden contact between Earth
and Moon. |
The
reincarnated god of Tiamat was reborn once more, his star seed granting
him a life as long as the other gods of the solar system. Along with
his generals, he unified the nomadic people of Earth and established
the Golden Kingdom. |
|
The
generals the King had chosen had long lives and powers of their own,
which mystified the members of the Silver Millennium. It was discovered
that their magical abilities had spawned from Chaos' own lingering
energy on the forsaken planet. Protective of Eden's chosen, it has
been agreed at the Silver Millennium's court that the Moon Kingdom
be forbidden to interact with Earth once again. |
The
arrival of the Snow Queen. |
The
Snow Queen wandered its way towards the Solar System, attracted by
the odd, opposing energies that the beautiful yet forsaken Earth possessed.
Her arrival was unspotted until it was almost too late. The "Silver
Crystal Power" was developed to prevent the Moon queen from using
the powers of the Ginzuishou too much. The combined power of the senshi
blasted the Snow Queen away. |
The
separation of the Silver Millennium Senshi into two groups. |
In order to
avoid sudden attacks such as that of the Snow Queen, the Senshi
were separated into two groups. One group protected the Silver Millennium
from elements beyond the grand alliance, while the other group took
the role as royal guards and protected the solar system from the
elements within*.
*The elements
that the royal guards fought were mainly remnants of Chaos which
had been left behind when he had occupied the solar system in his
search for Eden.
|
Pioneer
work on man machines begins. |
Because
of all the ever-present threats, the Moon scientist Daedalus began
the design concept of the "Perfect Defense Weapon." |
The
Golden Era of the Silver Millennium begins. |
The
??th Queen Serenity ascends the throne and rules the Moon Kingdom
and the Silver Millennium. |
|
The
Senshi of the present time were born and trained. |
"Zero"
denied. |
Daedalus
completed the first man machine frame "Zero". He presented
it to Queen Serenity and proposed its mass production. Abhorred at
the destructive potential of the man machine, the court denied his
request. |
The
cat ambassadors arrives. |
A
convoy arrived from the planet Mau in dire need of assistance. They
were well received by the Silver Millennium. As a sign of gratitude,
Mau presented the highly trained and loyal ambassadors Luna and Artemis
to the Moon Kingdom. Luna became the queen's right hand, where as
Artemis handled military affairs. |
|
After
their predecessor's resignation as senshi, Sailorvenus was assigned
as Leader of the Royal Guard, and overall Senshi commander. |
Lunar
and Terran reconciliation begins. |
Deciding
that the Earth's exile had gone far enough, the Silver Millennium,
with the Moon Kingdom at the forefront of the negotiations, attempted
to reestablish communications with the Golden Kingdom. Princess Serenity
meets the successor to Tiamat's star seed, Prince Endymion. The Inner
Senshi meets the prince's present Guardians. |
Metallia
arrives. |
Impatient
with his inability to find Eden, Chaos sends Metallia to destroy Eden's
most visible presence in the Universe - the Silver Millennium. |
|
As
Earth was already tainted with Chaos' negative energy, it was not
difficult for Metallia to cause discord on the forsaken planet. The
signs of eminent destruction came by means of a meteor shower with
signified Metallia's arrival, and the sun's violent activity suddenly
increased. The senshi failed to recognize these signs. |
Death
of a great, unrecognized, and insane genius. |
After
completing the Zero System, Daedalus died. |
Terran
war takes place on Earth. |
Distrustful
of the people on the Moon; envy brought about by their rulers' long
lives; and further compounded by Metallia's influence, a civil war
took place on Earth. Discussions between the Golden Kingdom and the
Moon Kingdom came to an abrupt halt, and interaction was forbidden
so long as a potential threat remained on Earth. |
The
fall of the Golden Kingdom. |
The
generals were soon unwillingly overtaken by the dark powers that they
possessed, and turned against the Golden Kingdom. Prince Endymion
escaped. Beryl, puppet regent of Metallia and leader of the rebel
forces, was pronounced as the new queen of Earth. |
The
fall of the Moon Kingdom. |
Further deceived
that the so-called "protector" of the Earth - the Moon
Kingdom - will declare war on them so that the prince who had escaped
would be brought back to the Golden throne, the Terrans took the
Moon Kingdom by surprise*. Unprepared for the war, the Moon Kingdom
fell along with the Senshi.
*The members
of the Silver Millennium had not expected that the magic-less Terrans
would be able to find a way to get to the Moon, and in such a short
time as well, since the civil war had just ended the day before.
They did not expect Metallia's presence.
|
The
queen's sacrifice. |
After
witnessing the destruction of her kingdom and the death of her daughter,
Queen Serenity used the Ginzuishou to defeat the evil army and seal
Metallia away. With her last remaining strength, she sent the Senshi's
star seeds, along with her daughter's and the Terran prince's, to
Earth. |
|
Cat
ambassadors Luna and Artemis were placed in a dreamless sleep until
the star seeds rejuvenate once more. |
The
destruction of the Silver Millennium |
Without
their protectors, and without the help of the Ginzuishou - Eden's
only consistent presence in the solar system - the rest of the heavenly
bodies became near uninhabitable once more. Millions perished. The
forsaken Earth, poisoned by the taint of Chaos, became lifeless once
more. |
(Tsuki
no Wing) Survivors from the Moon Kingdom, saved by the Ginzuishou
at the very last moment, drifted off into unknown space. |
