“Finding the Truth.”
Chapter one

Amelia sat quietly at the inn table eating shabu-shabu1, alone.

“It can’t be. But it is isn’t it?” she thought to herself.

Quite a while back, the rest of the group had decided to leave her in Providence while they went on with their adventures. A ‘break’ so to speak. They had visited once or twice, she was cheery, and eventually she gave up on her attempts of affection towards Zelgadis, though she still loved him. They had met Deanna, a replacement, who also had a thing for Zelgadis.

And though they hadn’t noticed, Amelia wasn’t the ‘gung ho’ little princess they all knew anymore. She had become a powerful warrior in their absence, leading her to a path of hatred and anger. With each new letter she received from them, the more unfeeling she became. Lina had said that they were almost finished with their current ‘job’, and would come back to get her within the month. She was less than excited. The reason for this was that the ‘crew’ was coming to get her and she had been informed by her father that if she doesn’t get married by the year’s end, he would choose a husband for her.

Amelia was now 19, she had been left in Providence four years ago, unwilling to return home she simply stayed in Providence and trained. Now what would they think when they saw her? She really couldn’t care less, but was very disturbed by being forced into marriage.

After Amelia had finished her shabu-shabu, she slowly crept up the stairs to her room in the town’s inn. When she reached her room she unbuckled her belt and placed her sword (yes sword) on the table across from her bed. The long dark leather cape was draped over a chair, and with a clank, her shoulder pads were discarded to the floor. Her high boots suprisingly slipped easily off her long slender legs, and were propped up against the bed. Her hair was now long and reached down to her thighs, she brushed it slowly; letting the comb slide through her silky undiluted raven locks. She then stood up and changed into her pajamas and slipped into her warm cozy bed. She lay in bed for a few moments thinking of what she would do, and slowly, ever so slowly drifted off into never-never land.

With the breaking of the sun across the horizon Amelia was up practicing her new found skills. It had been three weeks since she had received that last letter from Lina; she was expecting them to be in Providence’s boundaries by noontime.

After she had practiced for over two hours with her sword and strengthening her abilities both in martial arts, archery, and magic. Amelia headed back to the inn and made her way to her room, up the stairs, to the fifth door on the left, and back.

“I’m going to the sento2 now, while I can” she said to herself. With a swish of her hair and a few long graceful strides down the street, she reached the sento, and entered.

After Amelia finished soaking in the hot water of the sento, she exited and went, once again, to the inn. This time she changed into normal clothes (not the whole cloak, shoulder guard deal) and went out into the now sun warmed street.

“Wow, it warms up fast out here, I’m glad I wore short sleeves.” Amelia noted aloud.

Amelia pushed the hair from her face and continued on her shopping trip. She visited many shops and picked up some outfits, and even some she had tailored. After a few hours of shopping for new adventuring clothes, Amelia headed back for the inn, the sun now beginning to sink into the horizon.

When she was just twenty feet from the inn, she saw, and heard some familiar voices coming from the inn. Yelling, and tense magic energy, ready to burst.

“LINA?!” Amelia half gasped and yelled.

She peeked inside before entering the inn.

“I knew it!” Amelia yelled inside her head as a short redhead beat the snot out of a tall blonde.

“LINAAAA!!!” She yelled aloud.

Lina turned around slowly, not recognizing Amelia’s new, more, mature sounding voice.

“WHAT THE- A-A-A” Lina stuttered at the sight of her.

“What is it Lina?” Gourry asked

Lina merely pointed in Amelia’s direction. Gourry’s mouth dropped open. Zelgadis looked up from his coffee, and he too looked surprised. “Amelia?!”

She nodded looking quite agitated. Lina returned to her seat, Gourry still stood in a stupor.

“Wow! You’ve changed” Lina gulped hard.

“I’m surprised, you didn’t visit more often. I was your friend, I didn’t deserve to be dumped by my friends now did I?” She asked

Zelgadis set his cup on the table and crossed his arms, expecting her to go pummel him with affection. The last time they visited she had been hanging off him, but that was almost two years ago.

“It seems I’m the only one who’s changed. And for the better I might add” She added.

Lina opened her mouth to say something, but Amelia cut her off.

“For one thing, I know you needed a break from me, but you still could’ve visited more often. Then…yes I have changed more than appearances”

She walked over to their table and took a seat.

“Yeah, you yelled, louder than Lina” Gourry said coming out of his stupor.

Amelia giggled and flipped her long hair back out of her face. Which in doing so exposed her deep blue eyes, no longer large with childishness or innocence, but even still, a breathtaking blue.

“Beside appearances, I now am at a higher magic power level than you are, Lina” she said sheepishly, “And a better swordsman than the both of you ” she said pointing to Zelgadis and Gourry.

“Oh really?” Lina asked, fuming

“Wanna test me?”

Lina stood up and was ready to jump on Amelia but decided not to.

“I would, but you’re a Sailluune princess, it would be bad for me” Lina replied smugly

“I’m sorry? What? I don’t speak chicken”

Lina growled deep.

Amelia sat with her right leg crossed over her left. Lina summoned a fireball, but then, Amelia’ s hands began to glow with an eloctro-static current. Everything metal on the table began to fizzle with that energy too. Lina had the fireball in her hands but noticed all the forks, knives, and spoons pointing directly at her. Amelia’s fingers were pressing down into the table hard, leaving impressions in the wood. Zelgadis sat wide-eyed looking at the two, Lina with a fireball, and Amelia with some sort of electrical spell he couldn’t put his finger on. Lina displaced the fireball when the metal objects drew back, ready to strike.

“Just a warning, don’t mess with me anymore Lina, I’m telling you. My powers outnumber yours, and justice isn’t worth a rat’s…behind.”

“OOOOH, see she would’ve cursed too!” Gourry said pointing at Amelia.

Zelgadis advised Lina to sit down with a look. She decided another approach.

“So you’re not interested in blue boy here anymore?” she said slugging her arm around Zel.

Amelia lifted and eyebrow and tilted her head to the right. “Come on Lina, give it up”

“What?” she asked innocently

“You aren’t going to rile me, so don’t try” Amelia said turning her head to look out the window.

Lina slumped in her seat and sighed.

“So have you given up on Zel?” Gourry asked

Zelgadis bit his lip. When she was the little innocent princess, he did begin to get feelings for her, but now this tall, mature woman who sat in front of him, was just as cold-hearted as he was. He felt that she was once the only one who could love him, but now, the old Amelia was dead. Both in mind and soul.

Amelia took a long breath and turned to face Gourry.

“You see Gourry, it hurt when you guys left me here. And with that slut, Deanna. Why try to compete with her?” she replied sharply. “Zelgadis obviously didn’t care.”

“Oh” Gourry said “We only left for a while”

“Four years, do you call that ‘a while?’…But I guess it wasn’t that bad, at least now I can see reality, and have the power to protect myself.”

A waitress walked up to the table with a bowl of anmitsu5.

“Here, this is from the man over there” the waitress said pointing to a man with short blonde hair, who waved at Amelia with a silly grin.

Amelia looked up at the waitress, then to the silly looking, yet cute man waving at her. She waved back and smiled, then took the bowl of animitsu from the waitress…She had decided not to fry the drunken idiot.

She turned back to the table and ate her anmitsu. Lina had dragged Gourry up to bed, tired of Amelia’s new self. But she and Zelgadis stayed up.

“So… how has the cure thing gone?” Amelia asked after she had paid for her day’s orders, and some crackers for spare munching.

“Well, obviously I haven’t been successful, but I haven’t lost all hope.”

“That’s nice,” she said absent-mindedly twirling her hair around her pinkie.

Zelgadis looked up at her as she sat a few feet from him, and admired how she had changed.

“What happened to what’s her face…Deanna anyways?”

“She turned on us, she was really working for Takahara all along”

“Bummer. For you at least, I couldn’t care less…as long as you nailed her”

“How could you be the same Amelia we knew?”

“I never said I was the same, and what’s up with the ‘Amelia we all knew’? Where’s the word love in that sentence? It’s supposed to be “The Amelia we all knew, and loved “

“Oh come off it Amelia, stop playing the victim”

“That’s why I am the way I am today, thank L~Sama for Xellos or I would be a goner for sure.” Amelia’s voice grew cold. “Without him and my training, I never would have survived living here. That’s when I realized, be strong, or die.”

“You have changed but, not for the better”

“Like you can talk, you haven’t changed, you never cared and never will. I was the only person who saw through your stone skin and saw a man, not a monster. But now I have changed, I have adapted, and I will survive.”

This was a speech, but it had intensity, unlike her old ‘justice blather’.

“I received a letter from my father last week saying that if I don’t find a husband by the end of the year, I will be forced into marriage. To someone I have never met. I have spent all that time trying to convince you that you are perfect the way you are, and what did I get? I got dumped in a city, alone.” She continued…

“One night I got attacked by vampires during my second month here. Xellos showed up and healed me, I almost died, but because of him I am now only part vampire, not whole…Fifteen percent vampire princess Amelia.” She went on…

“I had helped him before and he cared, remember when those wolves attacked him, I didn’t think, I just went with my heart. Then he came and helped me twice. After the vampire incident Xellos introduced me to the ‘trades’; swordsfighting, sorcery, archery, and martial arts. I trained with him and the masters until I became what I am today.”, she finally finished.

With that Zelgadis was at a loss of words, Amelia walked away from the table, to the stairs and stopped.

“Goodnight, Zelgadis. And now I leave you with my words to think, I suppose I shall see you in the morning.” She said before slipping up the stairs, her wavy raven hair catching the moonlight. “If only…if only…” she thought to herself.

“Now she’s as uncaring and unfeeling as a mazoku, crap, now she hates me.” Zelgadis thought to himself

“Now that is an understatement,” a familiar voice said from behind the chimera.

Zelgadis turned, expecting to see Xellos, but no one instead.

When Amelia reached her room she unbuckled her belt, propped her sword against the table, and stood in front of the mirror. She began to unbutton her shirt; she replaced it with her pajama shirt, and then unsnapped her jeans and slid them off.

Her button up PJ shirt, buttoned only in three places at her bust, went down to her thighs, with the sleeves folded up to the elbows. She sat on her bed and replaced her socks with thicker, warmer ones, and stood up again. She walked over to the window and leaned against its frame. The only source of light coming in from the window, making her skin gleam with the moonlight, as she stood in front of it. She closed her eyes and wished that he could be with her right then and there. But wasn’t so sure on who she meant.

She opened her eyes sensing someone else was in the room with her, but before she had time to react two arms slid around her. Amelia then noticed who it was and pulled her hand up to his face. She turned around to face him and leaned against his chest, holding him tightly. She tilted her head back and they kissed. He broke their kiss, picked her up, and carried her to the couch. He sat down with her in his lap, holding on to him for dear life. Her fingers entwined with his and they kissed once again. “I’ve missed you,” he said.

“And so have I”

The two sat on the couch simply kissing and holding each other in silence.

The next morning Amelia found herself lying on the bed next to a pair of purple colored eyes.

“Good morning “ he said

Amelia yawned, and propped herself up on her elbow “Mornin’ ”

He chuckled and stroked the side of Amelia’s face, brushing the hair from her eyes. He smiled; her blue eyes were now gleaming with the morning light.

“The vampire in you has risen,” he said

Amelia nodded and said, “That’s what brought us together, the vampire in me. Zellas has to give you up to me for half the year now, doesn’t she?” she giggled

Xellos nodded “You hungry?”

“Oh yes, very much”

Amelia slowly rose from bed and noticed a band on each of her wrists.

“Where’d I get these?” Amelia asked

“ From me, like ‘em?”

“Yes! Are they talismans?”

“Yep, just for you.”

Amelia watched him as he gazed at her; she smiled and went to her dresser.

“Thank you so much! Hey…what should I wear today?”

“Asking me was a very good idea.”

“Bishounen6” Amelia said playfully under her breath.

“Only for the fun of it.” he said with his usual smirk.

Amelia chuckled and opened a drawer.

Lina knocked on the door to Amelia’s room, entered, and gasped.

“If you’d waited for a reply, you’d get a better answer!” Xellos wailed

Amelia stood at her dresser wearing nothing but a tunic that came down to high-thigh length, and panties. That’s not what shocked Lina, but Amelia standing there half-naked with XELLOS.

Amelia giggled as Lina went pale and face faulted, then attacked Xellos.

“I’m guessing that’s your breakfast!” Amelia wailed with laughter as Lina said very angry assorted ‘choice’ words at Xellos.

Xellos chuckled and Amelia handed him his staff, with which he whapped Lina on the head with. Then pushed her out the door, then they went back to choosing what on earth to wear. Xellos pulled out a pair of sage green tights that matched the tunic Amelia was wearing.

“Here” he said as he handed them to her.

Amelia slipped on the tights and put on her boots.

“Belt, sword, and done.” He said handing them to her.

Amelia put the belt on over her tunic and attached the sword, then posed so that Xellos could size her up. He made a ‘turn around’ motion with his finger, she turned around, he had his hand at his chin as if he were making a decision.

“The hair” he said as he went through a pocket in his cloak.

Amelia got her comb from the dresser and brushed her hair out smoothly.

“AHA!” Xellos said as he pulled out a green ribbon and some bells on a string.

He handed Amelia the ribbon and waited for her to finish.

She pulled her hair back into a high ponytail and secured it with the ribbon, Xellos walked over to her and tied the string of bells around the ponytail, so that a few inches of the string hung down. He smiled and clasped his hands together, looking much like Sylphiel. Amelia smiled a sweet smile back at him. She took his arm and walked out of her room, and went downstairs together, all smiles.

Lina, Gourry, and Zelgadis already sat at a table, gawking at the pair walking down the stairs. Xellos nodded hello to the group and pulled a chair out for his master to sit in.

“What a cute couple” a nearby waitress had said

“I’ll have the usual choshoku7,” Amelia said to the waitress who came to take their order.

“You like misoshiru8, Amelia?” Xellos asked.

“Oh yes, I love it”

“Me too, although I don’t eat it much when I’m with you guys, there’s really no need for human food, when I can feast off you guy’s emotions.”

“Ooh, I hate it when you talk like that, you make me feel so ‘used’ “ Amelia cringed.

Xellos smiled at the waitress with his eyes open. He liked to stare at people, because if you do it long enough, you can scare people, especially with his eyes open.

“Oh yes! And some…ah, Calpis9…or is it Calpico here?” said Amelia, “Whichever”

Lina made a disgruntled look and turned away.

Amelia laughed, and Xellos turned to her with his eyebrows raised. “What is it?”

“You,” she said over laughter “The way you’re looking at her with your eyes open, it’s funny.”

“What’s so funny about me having my eyes open?” he pouted.

“But you’re smiling too, you look… silly”

The waitress took off while she still could. Xellos pouted.

Amelia came out of her pit of laughter and noticed Xellos. She put her hand over his and looked into his eyes. “I’m sorry, but you did scare the wits out of her, and it was funny too”

Xellos looked up at her and smiled (as usual). Lina turned her nose up at the two while Gourry attempted to steal her waffles. Zelgadis sipped at his coffee, and didn’t say a word. Lina caught Gourry, just as he shoved a pile of waffles in his mouth, barely missing his nose. She then made a ‘Lina sized’ impression of her foot in his forehead

“Gourry, those were MINE!” she howled.

“B-but you weren’t eating them.” Gourry said from the floor.

A sweat drop formed above the onlooker’s heads. Amelia got an idea, grabbed the sweat drops, and chucked them at Lina and Gourry.

“Don’t make me get the hose!” Amelia wailed

Xellos erupted into a pit of laughter and Zelgadis shook his head, then returned to his land of the “Folgers” and the “Maxwell House” ring of support.

A few moments later…

“Hey Zel! Earth to ZEL!” Amelia wailed in Zelgadis’ ear.

Lina had a flare arrow in her hands, aimed at Gourry, who happened to be hiding behind Zelgadis. He snapped out of it and jumped out of the way when he saw the enraged redhead with the flare arrow. Amelia threw her arms up towards Lina, with them amulets on her wrists blinking with energy. It felt as if the whole Earth shuddered, the spell in Lina’s hands faded and the room filled with a sparkly haze, then disappeared as the energy faded from Amelia’s fingers.

“Wow what a show! Quick thinking you little minx!” Xellos cheered.

“Good quick thinking, fast agile reflexes, reasonable amount of magic used and taken” Xellos said as he held up a sign that said “9.9”.

Amelia bowed and walked over to Lina. She knocked on Lina’s forehead and said into her ear, “Anybody at home?”

Lina came out of her trance and nearly fell over.

“Energy minimized, but victim still alive.” Xellos added scratching out the ‘9.9’ and replacing it with a 10.

Gourry uncovered his head and looked up. “OH PRAISE L~SAMA! I’M ALIVE!” he yelled, jumping up and down, then, abruptly passed out.

Zelgadis yet again sighed and went back to the coffee bean land of his dreams. (Can ya tell he’s addicted to coffee yet?) Amelia returned to her seat and waited for her order. The waitress scooted up to the table, set the plates down and took off before Xellos had the time to make a meal out of her. Xellos snapped his fingers and pouted.

Amelia giggled an evil giggle and set forth on a task to eat misoshiru and not make an absolute mess of her clothes. Xellos watched her as she sipped the misoshiru, and giggled when she almost choked herself on it.

“ACK!” she gagged, with her head thrown back. She coughed and hacked for a moment then swallowed hard with her arms flailing around in the air.

Xellos pulled an arm back and slapped her on the back, hard. Amelia’s head flew forward and down, then hit the table. Where it stayed for a moment then turned to the side to look at Xellos, who was smiling, as always.

“If you hit me any harder my teeth would have fallen out and my brain would have flown out through my nose.” She said sounding hoarse.

Xellos giggled, propped his chin up on his fist, and said, “You survived it didn’t you?”

“Uh-huh”

“Well then I just made you stronger, didn’t I?”

Amelia smiled and sat back rubbing her forehead. Zelgadis looked like he was asleep with his coffee cup to his mouth. She raised an eyebrow and turned to Xellos, he shruged. Then she decided to finish off that misoshiru once and for all. She gave up on the slurping, and went for a western approach… With a ‘Hefty HiHo Silver Spoon and Away’ she defeated that misoshiru with a couple mighty spoonfuls.

“I love a woman who can take down misoshiru of that multitude.” Xellos giggled.

Amelia smiled an ear to ear smile and looked at the rest of her choshoku still on the table.

“Doggy bag!” Amelia said to a nearby waitress who chuckled and walked into the kitchen.

She returned with a small box and furoshiki10 with the inn’s logo printed on it. Amelia placed the fish and gohan11 in the box along with some of the senbei12 she ordered the night before. Then wrapped the box with the furoshiki, and said, “Now, there’s lunch!”

Amelia rose from the table and grabbed the untouched can of Calpico and put it, along with the bento13, into her bag. She then looked at the free falling Zelgadis and shook her head.

“You wake him up, and have some fun.” Amelia said to Xellos playfully.

Xellos rubbed his hands together and made a devilish face. Amelia lounged in mid air, which caught Xellos’s attention.

“Hey, when did you learn how to float?” he asked

Amelia looked down and shrugged, “Dunno, I just did it. Man this is sweet, like sitting in an huge cushy chair, I like it!” She said wriggling around, getting comfortable.

Xellos went into a batter’s stance, with an invisible bat, and prepared to strike. He pulled his arms back and hit Zelgadis in the back of the head, which caused him to smash into the coffee cup, the coffee itself, and the table. With a crash, splash, singe, and smack! Zelgadis came out of his slumber, very mad. In fact very, very mad. He dove at Xellos who dogged him and smacked into Amelia’s heel which was hovering inches from his face, until he hit it that is. Zelgadis slid down off of Amelia’s heel and fell to the dusty inn floor. He looked up to see her floating, face first, eyebrows raised. She leaned up and looked back, then descended back to the floor, and walked away. She walked out the inn’s swinging doors to find Xellos looking around.

“It’s a beautiful day isn’t it?” she asked

“I can see something more beautiful now,” he said looking at her, eyes open.

They went on their way down the street, looking for something interesting to do.

Lina finally arose from her energy loss at the table next to Gourry, who was blowing snot bubbles out of his nose while he slept.

“Owww” she moaned, rubbing her throbbing head.

Then she decided to go to her room to spend the day.

With every step Amelia took, the well-tuned jingle of the bells in her hair could be heard.

“What are we going to do?” Xellos asked

Amelia shrugged.

“Lets go to a news-stand and see if anything is going on” Amelia insisted

“Kay.”

When they reached a nearby newsstand Amelia grabbed a ‘Providence Daily Agenda’. Xellos came up behind her and looked over her shoulder at the paper she was thumbing through.

“It says here that there is a multi-skills contest starting soon.”

“That’s cool”

Amelia nodded and turned to Xellos, “Do you think I should enter?”

“Most definitely”

Amelia smiled and hugged him “You have always been the nicest to me Xellos, thank you,” she said digging her face into his chest.

Xellos cradled his arms around her back and pulled her back to look at her, “You are a very beautiful, and sweet girl, I’m a very lucky mazoku”

They both smiled and looked at the paper again.

“The Swords and Sorcery Arena, division of multiple skills.” They said in unison

They turned around and went in the direction of the arena.

Back at the inn Zelgadis sat at the table where Gourry was snoozing and sipped at his coffee.

“You consume more coffee than a US president does in a year.” A nearby waitress said from behind a pile of dishes.

He looked up at her with a strange look on his face. Gourry rolled on his side and slipped out of his chair with a thud. Zelgadis was left thinking why in the world he decided to travel with this group.

Then, he heard someone screaming…

“TEA! I NEED SOME FREAKING TEA!” the frantic voice wailed, “ IN THE NAME OF L~SAMA, I WILL HAVE TEA!”

Zeladis turned around and saw a blurred image of a blonde whizzing around the inn. One of the waitresses held up a pitcher which promptly disappeared, as did the screaming blonde, right out the door.

“Strange” the waitress muttered and returned to the kitchen.

When Amelia and Xellos reached the arena, they entered the large building and directed themselves in the direction of the front desk. She held up the paper and pointed to the articles, the receptionist on the phone scribbled down some directions on a memo pad and gave it to Amelia as she babbled on the phone. She took the note and turned to the right, down a long corridor. Xellos walked along behind her, smiling, knowing that everything was going as planned. Xellos sped up and came to her side, remembering how it had begun.

Amelia was with the rest of the group before they left her in Providence. Lina and Gourry had promptly fallen asleep, Zelgadis took up watch and Amelia went into the woods to look for firewood. Xellos silently followed her, with a plan. When Amelia had gotten enough firewood she turned to go back to the campsite, but she couldn’t tell which way to go.

Xellos came up behind her and scared the living bejeebies out of her, “Princess… now you’re alone, and I’ve come to eat you up!” he said in an evil gruff tone.

Amelia screamed and ran as fast as she could, only to wind up hitting a tree right smack between the eyes. Xellos laughed fanatically, and a pack of wolves came hurling out from nowhere. Amelia recovered and saw the wolves; she dogged them, but wasn’t doing to good a job of getting rid of them. One of the wolves lunged at Xellos, who was feasting off of Amelia’s fear. She screamed out his name and jumped in between him and the wolf.

The wolf hit her hard, and it’s claws dug deep into her shoulders. She screamed and was trapped, pinned to the ground, with the wolf’s razor sharp teeth inches from her neck.

The wolf’s claws tore away at the skin on torso. Xellos recovered from shock and blasted the wolf before it had another chance to tear at Amelia’s flesh. He gathered her up and started recovery, while he headed back to the campsite. She slowly came out of it and groaned.

“Why in the world did you do that?” he asked her as she leaned against his chest.

“I was afraid the wolf would get you, I guess I didn’t think - my heart just took over my actions” she replied

“Your heart?” he asked

“Yes, you are my friend, and I care for you”

The next time they met, he saved her life, and they have been together ever since. Amelia stopped and looked at the door in front of her.

“This is it”

Xellos nodded and followed her in.

The short man at the desk motioned for them to sit down while he bickered with someone on the phone. After a few minutes, the stubby man got off the phone he turned to them and smiled, ear to ear.

Amelia opened her mouth to say something but was stopped by the man, who put his hand up at her.

“I know,” he said in an overly cheery voice.

He hopped out of his chair and walked over to Amelia. He only came up as high as her thighs when she stood up, but he hopped up on her lap and eyed her closely. Amelia’s eyes widened as he looked down at her chest.

“Hey!” she wailed “Get your hentai13 behind off me!”

“You want in the multi-skills contest?’’

Amelia nodded smugly.

The little man giggled and nodded.

“Allow me to introduce myself… I am Cornelius Massoto, I an the activity director for the events in the multi-skills competition.”

“That’s nice, but can we get down to business, I don’t mean to be rude, but I do have plans after this”

The little man, Cornelius, jumped up on his desk and began digging through papers.

“AHA!” he wailed and held up four or five pieces of paper sealed together.

He handed them to Amelia and pulled the pen out from behind his ear and handed it to her, but she already had one of her own. She wrote neatly on the papers while Xellos leaned over and watched her, when she got to the ‘sex’, male/female category, he giggled and said, “Yes please”

Amelia laughed and bubbled in ‘female’.

“I have two words that just popped into my mind.” Amelia blurted

“And what are they?” Xellos asked

“Lolita complex14”

The little man looked up with a strange look on his face and raised an eyebrow at the two. Amelia and Xellos both laughed, then she continued filling in the appropriate information. Turn page! 1
