*Author’s note: Heck! I don’t know if Dolphin is a guy or a girl, no one’s telling me!!! So, for this time, could the Deep Sea be a guy…if ever he’s a girl??? I am really confused!!! I asked the same question "Is Dolphin a guy or a girl???" and no one’s answering me… I’m off!
Xelas Metallium was getting bored one morning. "Nothing to do, nothing to say…I oughtta…" she stopped talking to herself when she was interrupted by Xelloss, appearing behind her. "Good day, my mistress!" he greeted.
"Don’t you ‘good day’ me, you…" she stopped, avoiding to say a bad word on Xelloss.
Xelloss was surprised. "Yare, yare, Xelas-san! You’re in a bad mood again?" he asked kindly.
"Isn’t it obvious?! Now go! I don’t need you here!" she yelled angrily.
"Boy, she’s really mad…I wonder why…" he said. But he wanted her to relax because when she is mad, she might blow up the whole place and Fibrizo’s base might explode too…and if matters come to worse, the blowing up may reach the Sea of Darkness… "That would be VERY bad!!!" he said aloud.
"What bad?" she asked, turning to him.
Xelloss blushed, embarrassed. "Oh, nothing!…say, may I invite you for a tour in the human world?" he asked.
Xelas raised an eyebrow. "A tour?" she repeated. "What tour?" she asked.
Xelloss smiled. "You know…um…go around the cities there…"
"You mean destroy the world? Sorry, not my line. I’m trying to have some peace. I am not like that useless Garv." She answered.
"But Xelas-sama! It would be fun!…especially if you’re in a disguise!" he suggested.
Xelas twitched, smiling. "Disguise…mmm…interesting…" she thought happily. She stood up and smiled at Xelloss. She put her hands on his shoulders. "Xelloss, you’re really a bright boy!!! I am so proud to have raised you to be my minion!!!" she told him cheerfully. Xelloss smiled sheepishly.
"Uh… thank you, ma’am." he answered.
Xelas smiled at him. "Okay, get going, I’ll be going on my own path. If you travel with Lina Inverse and Gourry Gabriev, I’m not following. I’ll be going to…lessee…" she thought…
Xelloss shrugged and left, leaving Xelas.
Xelas looked up and snapped her fingers, and in an instant, her clothes and hairstyle changed. "Wouldn’t they be surprised when they found out that this pretty and lovely young girl is the Beastmaster?" she asked herself
Finally, Xelas arrived at a small park in a small town near Sailarg. When she entered the park, all eyes turned to her. All she heard from the people were, "Is she a new girl here?" "What a pretty young lady!" "What great eyes!" "She’s so beautiful!" "Wait till our prince meets her!"
Xelas smiled secretly at herself as she rounded a corner, then raised an eyebrow when she saw a guy, his face covered with a mask from his cape. A hood is also covering his head, he stood by a tree, humming a tune.
Xelas approached the guy. "Why are you covering your face?" she asked.
The man looked at her. "None of your business" he answered coldly.
Xelas rolled her eyes. "Fine! Then don’t answer!" she answered sharply.
The man ignored her.
Xelas wanted to be noticed, so she quickly pulled off his hood and pulled down his mask, revealing a face with blue skin and golem stones. She thought he looked familiar, but she ignored that thought. "Hahaha! Never ever disrespect the Beastmaster or she will put you to shame!" she told him.
"For all I care! You’re the Beastmaster?" he asked.
"I am…" she stopped when she realized. "You are Zelgadiss Graywords?" she asked.
"So what? Get lost, I’m waiting for someone to show up." He answered.
Xelas grinned. "Ne, who are you waiting for?" she asked, interested, maybe she could talk to him for awhile.
"Will you stop bothering me?" he said, facing her.
"Okay, so you win!" she said. She turned away. "Too bad, I was going to say something to you about the cure…" she muttered.
Zel’s ears twitched. "Cure?" he asked.
Xelas turned to him again. "Gotcha…" she thought with a smile. "Yes! Cure!" she answered.
Zel looked down. "Don’t you try to play a trick on me." he said.
"Would I lie to you?" she asked sweetly.
"Yes, coz you’re a stranger." He answered.
"I’m not! My name is… Xel…um…Xelia." She answered.
"Surname?" he asked.
"Xelia…um…Khalifat! Right! Xelia Khalifat!" she answered.
Zel turned to her. "How old are you?" he asked. "Are you interviewing me?" she demanded, feeling impatient.
"Fine, don’t answer." He answered.
"Okay, I am 17. I live in the… I live in Saillune." She answered. "Saillune…" the place rang in Zelgadiss’ ears.
"Something wrong?" she asked. Zel shook his head. "Nothing…just remembered that I have a…dear friend there…" he told her.
Xelas smiled maliciously. "Dear friend? Who is she?" she asked.
"How’d you know it’s a girl?" he asked.
"Your eyes are giving you away." She told him. Zelgadiss looked at her.
"Forget it," he told her.
"You called her dear? You must love her so…" she said softly.
"Nani?" he asked.
"Oh nothing…I said that you must love her so much that is why she is very dear to you. Is she your girlfriend?" she asked.
Zel looked away, blushing. "No…" he answered. Suddenly, he felt so confused.
Xelas began to think of something…"Something that Xelloss told me…hmm…" she thought , her brain beginning to work.
Then, she turned to Zelgadiss again. "You know, you might not know it, but if you accept your true feelings and who you really are, then you will have nothing to worry about." She said gently. Zel turned to her.
"What’s the connection?" he asked.
"Worry is a disease. It can spread throughout your mind, affecting you and everything in you, and if it comes to worse, your fellow people, your friends may be infected by it. Get what I mean? I know you’re a smart person, Zelgadiss." She told him with a sweet smile.
Zelgadiss began to think. "What do you mean?" he asked.
"I’ll tell you the cure. Just accept who you are, let others love you, let yourself love them too. It’s such a simple game, you know…" she said.
"Love?" he asked. "I remember… something… it says Love cures people, those who give it and the ones who receive it." She looked at him straight into the eyes. "Take my advice, Zelgadiss. Once you just accept yourself and learn to accept others, know them better and let them recognize you as you are, then you will be cured from your worried mind. All these years since you were turned into a chimera, you were only concerned about your cure, worried whether you would be accepted or not, all those worries, until your heart became a heart of stone which a girl’s chisel couldn’t even carve a heart on." Xelas said. She looked up. "Why don’t you go back and let her…you know…and let yourself feel that love…" she told him.
Zel was struck. He began to think. Then, he turned away. "Thanks for the advice but I don’t need it. Goodbye and nice meeting you, Xelia." And he left.
Xelas took a deep breath… "Dammit! I’m a mazoku! How come I know those things?" she asked herself. Then, she shrugged and left too.
After 2 weeks…
Xelas was inside her bedroom, brushing her hair in front of her dressing table. Then, Xelloss appeared from one corner of the room. "Good day, my mistress!" he greeted.
"hello, Xelloss!" she said with a smile, looking at him from the mirror.
"Xelas-san, I have to tell you something, Zel returned to Saillune a week ago. Guess whaaat!!!" he said.
"What?" she jumped up from her seat and ran to Xelloss, excited. "What is it?" she asked. Xelloss grinned.
"Sore wa himitsu desu." He answered.
Never wanting to argue, Xelas thought of something, then she left.
Xelas appeared before the gates of Saillune, in her Xelia disguise again. She used her sharp mazoku senses to detect where Zelgadiss is. Then, she found that he’s in the garden of the palace of Saillune. So, she teleported there and appeared behind him, just as he wasn’t looking.
Zel was startled. "Xelia!" he told her.
"Hey-yo!" she greeted cheerfully.
Zel smiled at her. "Thanks for the advice, Xelia…" he told her shyly.
Xelas was surprised. "Nani!? You followed my advice!?" she cried. "Yes, I did! What is wrong with that?" he asked.
"YOU FOLLOWED THE ADVICE OF A MAZOKU!!!???" she asked, hardly believing it.
Zel blinked. "Huh?" he wondered.
Xelas covered her mouth. "Nothing special…you didn’t hear what I said, did you?" she asked.
"I didn’t understand the last word you told me. Ma…what?" he asked.
Xelas shook her head. "No, no, no! Forget that! I mean…you followed the advice of a stranger like me? Why, it was only that short time that I met you!" she said.
"But you were right." Zelgadiss told her convincingly.
Xelas smiled at herself. "Well, at least I did something good…even if I did another violation in our world again…NO GOOD DEEDS, remember?" she asked herself in her mind.
Zel looked at her. "What are you thinking?" he asked.
"Nothing. I’m just happy for you…where is she?" she asked. "She’s inside. Tonight will be a party for us…as her father wanted it…and you are invited." He told her.
"Amelia Wil Tesla Saillune and Zelgadiss Graywords…such a perfect combination." Xelas thought dreamily.
Then, she smiled and gave him a wink. "Well, gotta go now!" she told him. "Wait!" he called after her.
She faced him again before she began to run away. "Hey, just remember, be yourself always!" she said sweetly, then she ran away.
Zel was dumbfounded at Xelia’s words and actions, but he wondered. "How did she enter the palace?"
"Zel!" called a voice from behind.
Zelgadiss turned around and saw Amelia standing there. "Who were you talking to?" she asked.
"No one! It’s just the guard passing by!" Zel said.
Xelas appeared again in her bedroom back in her old image again. Then, she saw Dolphin sitting by her dressing table and staring at her happy face.
"You happy again?" he asked. Her smile faded.
"Hey, what are you doing here? I sealed this room so that no DOLPHINS could come in and only me and Xelloss could go here!" she told him sternly.
"I ordered Xelloss to remove the seal. You only used the low-classed spell for sealing, so he was able to remove it." Dolphin explained.
"By the way, I forgot to tell you…it is nice to be a human and to be good once in a while." She said.
"Nani…" he asked.
"I know you know what I did, you are always sending spies on me, but please, don’t tell on our lord about me." Xelas told him.
Dolphin smiled. "How did you know?" he asked.
"I just know it, now get lost." She told him angrily.
"No! Tell me what happened first! I only saw that you went to the human world in a disguise and said something to Zelgadiss! What happened today?" he asked curiously.
"No, get lost!" she answered…
