Alrighty, now for the"Disclaimer" stuff... I do not own these character's. The Slayers are owned by the good ol' folk's from Software Sculptures, Not me. Though I wish I did! I'd have them all tied up with black leather, serving me on their knees, being my personal sex slaves! KYA HA HA HA! o.o...Er...S-sorry. Anyways, I'm just a crazy school girl watching "Xena" at 2:50 in the morning, writing a lame excuse for a fic and drinking a can of warm "Citra." So please don't sue me! Thankie! And enjoy!

A tall, lanky man, dashed past the guards and burst through the heavy, elegant doors that led to the throne room. The young man was beat up pretty good, Cut's thrashed all over his body. He stumbled to his knees, than staggered back to his feet, racing to the throne, the throne which held the Prince of Saillune. (Sairoon.) He frantically panted as he spoke.

"Your Majesty, they're coming!" He spat out, reaching the foot of the throne. The prince narrowed his eyes leaving an unusual cold look on his face, that seemed to send chill's up the young man's spine.

"Where is the rest of your men?" He said calmly, keeping a stern, tight, grip on the matter at hand. The Saillune messenger closed his eyes and turned his head to the marble tile floor of the palace throne room.

"...Dead...Your majesty..." The Prince took a deep breath and took a short moment to pray for the unfortunate, loyal soul's, that had passed away for the sake of justice. The Prince turned to the guard, right arm, and friend, beside him.

"....Armond, Have you sent for my Daughter?..."

"Yes, sire...She had just gotten ready to bathe, she should be here soon."

"Verywell, see this man to the the nurse, than we shall discuss this further."

"Yes, your majesty."

The young, battered, boy rose, than bowed, he stumbled as he began to rise. Armond stepped forward and slung the harmed boys limp arm over his shoulder, and walked out of the Princes sight. The Prince slid his gloved hand across his aged face to his chin in deep thought.

"...Not again...please...L~Sama...not again."

Elsewhere....

"Hey Gourry, that was my chicken!"

The petite sorceress and the bulked up blonde swordsman find themselves in a much too familiar location, the local tavern. The young, underdeveloped yet lethal girl known as Lina inverse, had been traveling with her companion, known as Gourry Gabriev, the quick with a sword, but not so sharp when it came to using his mind, mercenary, for little over two years now. As much as Lina proceeded to fake it, The swordsman had grown on her, and besides, Lina was sticking like glue to him until the sword of light was in her grasp.

"No way, Lina, I claimed it first!..."

"Errr....Give it back!..." Lina growled and before Gourry could state his case, Lina had him in a head lock, gradually squeezing the passage of air flow to his brain. If there was much from the start anyway. Gourry began turning blue, and it all set in...He'd lost.

"...Erk...Here, fine it's not worth dying over."

Gourry dropped the Chicken leg which Lina quickly dove for, leaving Gourry to face-fault and land on the ground in a twitching mound of nerves. Lina squeald in delight and stuffed the food in her mouth. Gourry regained his composure and rose to the table, rubbing his head, as Lina patted her belly in satisfaction of her meal.

"So Lina, where are we heading to next, again?" Gourry asked shyly, hoping not to be battered further for having a bad memory, or lack of intrest of the matter when she first repeated it.

"...Mortanonra...A small city just a few miles from here, there we can see of that Claire Bible manuscript that everyone's gossiping about lately." Lina said dully, Picking at her teeth with a dagger. Gourry blinked a few times.

"...And why would we want to go all that way just to see a few dusty pieces of paper?"

"...A few dusty pieces of paper!? Ergh! If the rumors are true and in fact the manuscripts are there, we - , or at least I, could use them. With that power in my hands even fighting with Shabby again would just be another tussle in the hay!..." Lina planted her palms firmly on the table rising as she shouted at the Blonde swordsman, who was cringing with fear.

"...Oh..." Gourry responded as he dug back into his meal. Lina sighed, slapping her palm to her forehead in dismay, sitting back down.

"...But the only problem is, how are we going to get past the guards, I've heard the Mortanonra City hall is loaded with them, especially in times where they show the manuscript off." Lina tapped her head as a pout formed on her lips. A waitress sauntered over leaving a piece of paper on the table.

"...That's not the only problem we have..." Gourry squeaked as he picked up the bill the waitress left, his eyes the big as saucers.

"...W-what?"

Lina blinked as Gourry passed the bill to her.

"WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAA!?"

Suddenly both Lina and Gourry were running as fast as their legs could take them, as the manager and a few waiters shouted and threw glass objects and other means in their direction.

Not too far away...

Zelgadis greywords...A mystical, cold hearted, sorcerer, as he likes to be called. A lonely young man, with an even lonelier soul. After he departed with Lina and the others he kept as silent as ever. Only talking when absolutely necessary, as he traveled the cold, deserted street's searching desperately, for a cure that would salvage him from his pain and grief. Would he ever find it? Was a question that wandered through his mind. He would find it, no matter how long, how hard the present situation. He would. That's is if it existed. Which he sure it did. No one could be so cold, not even Rezo, who gave him the deformity of his gollum half, and not have a cure. No, not even Rezo. Zelgadis let his hand wander to his face as his hand rigidly caressed his stone face, as he continued to walk, the rain pounding on his tall body. He ached for this cure, and no thing, nor one would keep him form it. And those he would care for would still be kept at an arm's length. After all how could anyone love a monster like him. He was an utter creation of evil. A hideous freak of a blind mans idealism. A puppet. Zelgadis' ears twitched as his fingers awkwardly slid down his face to his chin. Making an annoying grinding sound of rock against rock. Never again did he want to hear that sound. When he touched his own body, he dreamt of groping soft, tender, pink flesh. And when he grew closer to another he wanted feel flushness in his cheeks as he gave a soft kiss to an equally soft pair of lips to his lover. He wasn't going to live his life as a shadow forever. He wouldn't let Rezo win. No, He was too determined, too stron - ....wanting to be strong was got him into his current position. He swept his emotions and thinking aside, as he usually did, and continued to walk as the walk rain washed his thoughts behind him. No, he would not let Rezo win, no matter what.

Back at the Saillune Palace...

Amelia, Princess, destined one day to be Queen of a nation. But was she really ready to take on the responsibility? Amelia pondered the thought as she relaxed, slipping deeper into the warm water of her personal bathing room. She batted her eye's a few times before closing them again.

"....I wonder where Miss Lina and the others are..." She thought.

"....I sure miss them..."

What if she didn't want that responsibility. How just is it to decide one's destiny from birth, when one has no say in it, simply because she's the heir. What if she didn't want the shimmering throne. What if she wanted to roam the world, with her friends, bringing love and justice to the world, instead...there she could do so much more then just sitting on a golden throne giving out orders. Where's the justice in that? Amelia began to sulk as her mind raced on. A prisoner....that's what she really is. Lina had always commented on how lucky Amelia was just to be handed down a kingdom, a happy family, riches and such. She didn't understand. A prisoner of gold and silk. Amelia's thoughts were interrupted as a loud knock came to her chamber door.

"Yes?"

"Princess Amelia, your father awaits you."

"Can't he wait, I'm kinda busy right now!"

"Sorry young majesty, it's urgent."

Amelia sighed, knowing it couldn't be that urgent to interrupt her bath. Never the less...

"I'll be right down." She called, growing restless. She listened as she heard the servant's footsteps grow faint as he walked down the hall. Amelia sighed, savoring the feeling of the water as she rose and slid down her now more developed body. Amelia had to have grown an inch and a half since her last encounter with Lina and the others. Her raven tresses had grown longer and....well lets just say Lina was definitely considered flat compared to Amelia. Amelia timidly shook the water from her feet as she wrapped a towel around her. She walked into her bedroom chamber where she sat and picked up a large silver brush. The brush was passed down to her when she was younger. They were her mothers. Amelia quickly brushed the thoughts of her mother away as she slid the heavy brush through her hair. Each stroke of the brush new thoughts raced through her mind. She began to think of Zelgadis. Strange enough she wondered where he might be. She had no doubt that he was still searching for his cure, But by himself, which he seemed to prefer, or with Lina and Gourry...The thought of Zelgadis brought an unexpected blush that creeped over the bridge of her nose and fill her cheek's as she grew deeper in thought. No doubt in her mind would hinder the fact that she had a crush on him. A crush....on a chimera. Is exactly what Lina thought when Amelia had told the lanky sorceress of the feelings that existed and haunted her. Lina didn't think much of it, Just the fact that she was crazy, she couldn't understand, she wouldn't. How when Amelia watched him, his grace, his intelligence, his beauty, how he seemed to dance as he fought. No she wouldn't understand. How could she. Lina wasn't one to see one's true beauty. But that's Lina for you. If she would ever tell Zelgadis him self of her feelings was another story. After all, perhaps the feelings would disappear...besides it was just a crush...right? Amelia banished her thoughts as quickly they had arrived. She walked down the hall, in a pink, fluffy dress, sauntering down the stairs and towards the dinning room. Amelia tugged her fingers through her still damp hair.

"Just a crush...."

Elsewhere...

Lina gazed over at her companion every now and then, as they walked through the lush, green terrain. She had never noticed how handsome Gourry was. True, he was definitely older, But Lina had never took all of him in. Yes, he was hard to be around all of the time. But he was sweet, and always there for her. When they had their encounter with the Kopii Rezo, she remembered the scream that ripped through the darkness in her mind, it was Gourry, who staggered to me. That's how she knew, he cared for her. That, and he no longer called her kid. Lina giggled in her mind how cute Gourry could be. Lina's eyes quickly darted forward as she shook her head. Hey, this wasn't her, She was Lina inverse, she didn't fall in love, or notice boy's like that. Emotions weren't supposed to surpass her mind and seep out to let others notice. It just wasn't like that for her. Still she found her eyes sneaking another peek of Gourry charming good looks and incredible body. Lina had to admit, he's not the smartest guy, but his body matched one of a greek god. Very well built and sculpt. Not to mention a well defined chin and glittering soft bluish green eyes.

Erk...Lina smacked her head on a up coming tree leaving a nicely shaped bump on her forehead.

"And let that be lesson next time you start behaving like that!!!" Lina bellowed out of no where. Gourry looked over with a very confused look in his eyes as his finger slid to the corner of his mouth.

"Hey Lina, you....OK ?"

"Err...Yah! You know those pesky tree's, after seeing so many they kinda get on your nerves."

"....Oh OK, yah!..."

Lina slid her arm behind her head and nervously laughed. She threw the small sack of belongings over her shoulder as she began catching up with Gourry. She rubbed the lump on her forehead wincing.

What was going on, this wasn't like her at all. No emotions. That's lina, Right?

"Hey, Lina?"

Lina peered up, but before she could answer Gourry her head slammed into the welcoming post to the entrance of Motanonra. Lina stumbled backwards slumping against the grassy ground.

"I was gonna warn you but - "

"Errrrrr....Next time warn me faster!!!!"

Lina stepped up rubbing the second huge bump that arose from her forehead. lina groaned and started walking again dragging Gourry with behind her.

"Well atleast we're here." Lina grumbled, as she looked around the small city. It seemed like any other town. Little huts and shops scattered about...then she saw it. A much taller and well refined tower, built in the middle of the town.

"That has to be the city hall, where the manuscript is being held."

"The what?" Gourry asked dumbly scrambling to his feet beside the short sorceress.

"Errr... Just C'mon!"

"H-hey...ack...wait!"

Lina once again clamped her hand on Gourry's arm and dragged him through the city, racing towards the tower.

At the Saillune Palace....

Amelia was greeted to her seat in the huge dinning hall by a maid who laid a elegant cloth napkin on her lap. Amelia nodded and excused the maid who bowed and left the room. Amelia looked over the huge mountain of food to see her father on the opposite side of the table. She noticed that he looked distressed, as he leaned his chin on his fisted hands. His eyes were closed. He seemed in thought, as if he didn't notice that she had entered.

"Father, what's wrong?" Amelia asked, her voice deep with concern.

"Amelia....we need to talk."

Amelia peered closer to her father as her eyebrows knotted in confusion.

"A-about what?"

Her father hadn't even opened his eyes nor change his position as he spoke to her.

"...Saillune is being attacked..."

"WHAT!?"

Amelia's home...her safe fortress, being attacked!? No one had ever dared to forge war against one of the most powerful cities in the world. It was just crazy! You would dare cast war on such a peaceful city?

"Calm down child...I'm telling you now, you will have no participation in this battle."

"But father, I am the Princess, I can't jus - "

"Silence!"

Amelia gasped as her father slammed his fist into the oak table, making some fancy China plates cling together and slam onto the marble floor of the dining. Shards of glass slashed over the floor. Amelia's has never seen her peace and justice loving father so violent and angry. She gazed over at him, Droplets of sweat dotted his brow, his teeth were clenched and chest heaved angrily. Amelia had never been frightened of her Father until now. She'd never seen this side of him.

"Amelia, you must listen to me...you're my daughter, and I love you, Ii cannot have my child's life nor the heir to Saillune's life risked. You are forbidden to leave the safety of the palace's wall's until this is all over, untill I give the command, is that understood!?"

Amelia nodded in response. Her Father meant busy this time. Something really bad was happening , she didn't have the nerve to ask her father, now wasn't the time, she could tell. Her heart was racing.

"...Mazoku's are claiming to want war with us."

Amelia's heart jumped into her throat. Her worst fear. The Mazokus. She had dealt with few of them, but she knew they we're tough to kill.

"..Mazoku's!?.."

"...Yes...No matter what, I want let those filthy, creatures take over our land, but till then, we will be safe in the palace wall's. Don't fret Amelia, justice is on our side, as always."

The Prince gave her a weak smile, but Amelia noticed the sparkle in his eye's was gone. Oh L~Sama what's going on? Amelia thought to her self as they both calmly ate in silence.

Back at The City Hall of Mortnonra....

"Lina... are you sure this is going to work...I feel so...GIRLY!?" Gourry complained as he fondled the fruit in his dress that were supposed to be "breasts".

"Of course I'm sure it'll work, so just deal with it!"

"If you say so..."

"Ahem... Gourry.."

"Yeah?"

"Your....Lopsided." Lina giggled as Gourry rustled his hand beneath the cheesy dress they had bought before reaching the tower.

"All right, so here's the plan again...we just walk in there, as tourist's and ask to look at the Manuscripts...because once again, we're tourist! Got it?"

"Got it..." Gourry said slapping Lina on the back. Lina cursed and got back up, pulling Gourry by his ear.

"LET'S JUST GET IN THERE!"

Lina swung her fiery red flowing hair over her shoulder and walked towards the guards protecting the entrance of the room which held the Manuscripts. She fluttered her Ruby red rimmed eyes as she spoke in annoying squeaky voice to the guards.

"Hiiieeeeee! Me and my sister here would like to see the manuscripts!"

"...Uh yeah!" Gourry sweatdropped as Lina elbowed him in his chest as he spoke in a voice of a 13 year old boy going through puberty. The guardsman exchanged glances and then returned their gaze to the sisters.

"Sorry, no visitors past 6:00 p.m., Madams."

Lina Sweatdropped and groaned.

"But you ha - " Lina was interrupted by a crash of glass. The guards turned around to hear another crash of glass.

"...Some one's stealing the manuscripts!" The guards ran into the room as Lina and Gourry stood in the door way to get a better view, only to be pushed aside as the thief slammed between them and ran out of view. Gourry tried to pick up the fruit that rolled over the ground as he slumped backwards. Lina growled and snatched Gourry up and after the thief.

"HEY! We were going to steal that first! Oh, to hell with this! RAY WING!" Lina cried out as she grabbed a fist full of Gourry's blonde hair and flew in the direction of the thief avoiding the disapproving screeches from Gourry who was kicking and flailing his arm's in the air. Lina spotted the thief from above and threw Gourry as if he was a weapon.

"Go get em' Gourry!"

"AHHHH N-NO LINNNAAAAA!!!!!"

Gourry hit Lina's target exactly. Little X's marked over his eyes as well as the Thief's. The thief groaned and rubbed his head. As Lina planted her feet on the ground.

"Would you please get off of me!?" The thief ordered as he stirred beneath the heavy swordsman, who was out cold. Lina crossed her arm's over her chest and laughed sinfully.

"Though you could get away,...HUH?" Lina suddenly stopped as her eyes grew as big as the sun which burned brightly in the sky, peering at the thief.

"...Z-ZELGADIS!?"

The thief looked up hearing his name, his jaw dropped as his mind cleared, seeing the underdeveloped, pint size, sorceress he knew all to well.

"LINA!?...."

He looked back thinking, and to no surprise Gourry was the heavy man atop of him.

"Gourry!?....what are you guy's doing here!? " Zelgadis asked shoving the swordsman off of him. Gourry blinked and sat up. He smiled as he recognized the thief.

"Shouldn't we be asking you the same thing...?"

"Well I'd heard of manuscripts this town held, so I of course came here searching for it, Hoping it had something in it to cure me."

"Hey, Zel!" Gourry waved, Zelgadis smiled as he saw Gourry in the granny dress and fruit juice squeezed out all over him from his fall.

"New look, eh Gourry, not bad on you."

Gourry blushed and cradled his knees against his chest as he drew little circles in the dirt with his finger.

"Gee, you think? Ii thought it made my hips look big." Zelgadis and Lina sweatdropped as he Zelgadis swooped down to gather the manuscripts that scattered the ground.

"Good ta' see ya' Zel!"

"Same to you Lina, Gourry, your sight for sore eyes."

Zelgadis gave a weak smile as he searched over the papers.

"A sight for sore eyes indeed!" An all to familiar voice echoed as he appeared in mid air atop of Lina's head.

"..XELLOSS!?" The three cried.

"The one and only!"

Zelgadis growled, he had always hated the Mazoku, His grinning face burned into his find, How he wanted to swipe his grin from his face.

"What are you doing here?" Lina asked, her eyebrow twitching.

"...Sore wa himitsu desu!"

The three face faulted onto the dirt street. Xelloss giggles, wagging his finger in front of his closed eyes.

"Well, this is not really a time to chit chat, unless you'd like to have a conversation in the local prison." Xelloss said dryly pointing to the Guards that we're charging in the direction of them. Lina jumped up picking up Gourry and running, Zelgadis groaned and ran behind them. Xelloss smiled and flew above the three.

"This wasn't in my plan's." Zelgadis growled under his breath, As he raced behind Lina and Gourry.

"Oh C'mon Zelgadis! You haven't missed this? As fun as the fall of Saillune!"

Suddenly everyone came to a screeching stop.

"...What do you mean.... 'The fall of Saillune?'.."

Anger filled her lusty red eyes, which peered solidly into Xelloss. Xelloss Never stopped grinning, he waited a few seconds, peering back at those which intense stares were fed to him.

"You mean you haven't heard? A army of Mazoku's are holding war with Saillune, unfortunately The dear Prince, has no idea that he's clearly out numbered." Xelloss giggled, floating on his back. Lina gasped. Zelgadis barred his teeth and snarled at Xelloss.

"And what part do you play in this war!?"

"Hmmmm..... Oh me?...Nothing!" He answered innocently.

"Err...what's going on?" Gourry asked scratching his head, Lina sighed and smashed him into the ground.

"It look's like we're gonna pay a visit to Amelia..." Lina softly said, never taking her gaze from Xelloss' grinning face. She knew he had something to do with this. Who was stupid enough to forge war on Saillune!? No matter, she had to tell the Prince that he was out numbered, before it was too late.

"Well, Zel ya' with us...?"

Zelgadis sighed, and looked at the Manuscripts he held in his fisted hand. He wouldn't just let his friend parish in the face of Mazoku's He nodded.

"To Saillune.." "Good, to have ya' with us again, Zel!" Gourry grinned.

"Oh good, all together again! I'll travel with, I also have business in the direction of Saillune." Xelloss chipped in. Lina looked over the blazing sunset. Her ruby eyes glimmered in the casting sun.

"....To saillune, Amelia need's us."

And with that they began running in the direction of the Saillune kingdom. But would they be too late?
