Zelogadis shyly took her hand and led her down to the beach. Together they walked into the ocean, further and further until the ocean was deep. Holding each other, they both drowned.

"Look at these two lovebirds.... I didn’t even see Amelia get past us."

"Lina, don’t be so loud, you’ll wake them up."

"So what?! There’s nothing in the cave anyways.... And I’m hungry!"

Zelogadis opened his eyes and stared up into the eyes of his red haired companion. She looked angry, but also amused. He looked down to see Amelia fast asleep on his chest. They were leaned up against the stone wall outside the entrance.

"Alright we got one awake!" Lina rubbed her hands together. "Now to get the other one up."

"No." Zelogadis cautioned. He took the sleeping princess in his arms and stood up. "She’s really tired, I’ll carry her back."

Lina and Gourry looked at eachother in confusion. Lina turned back to him, her expression softened.

"Zel, did something happen between you two in the cave?"

He smiled, another look of confusion was passed between them. "You could say that."

Lina opened he mouth to say something, but decided not to. Instead she looked at Gourry.

"Ok, now that everybody’s together, we can head off to the next town and EAT!!!!!!"

"EAT!!" Gourry repeated. Together they zoomed out of side, leaving Zelogadis to cough in their dust.

He still didn’t know what the cave was, and how all the events had triggered. Somethings were just meant to be left a mystery. But he did find these words inscribed besides the entrance. It was strange, he didn’t think they were there before.

Cloaked in warmth in times of despair,
