Cavin, on the other hand, started writing songs when he was abroad for further studies. He sent his compositions to local producer Ken Lim. With the recommendations of Ken Lim, the three of them -- Cavin, Ric and Jim acquainted with each other. Cavin being in Scotland, the only way of keeping in touch was by sending emails and demo tapes via the Internet.
As for the group's name, it was very much of a coincidence. They heard the phrase "Dream and Flying Machine" 2 times in a day. And there you have the group's name.... Dreamz FM. The Mandarin name is, of course, a direct translation.

April 2000, they had some public appearances in various venues such as HMV, schools (YJC) and also some institutions of higher learning (SP).
July 2000 ~ Apart from producing their own music, the 3 members of Dreamz FM were also involved in other productions. If you happen to pick up albums of local artistes such as Ann Kok, you will notice that 林 毅 心 wrote a few songs in that album and also arranged the music for 享 受 现 在。Personally I really like the arrangement of this song. I don't know how to express it in English but well... 真 的 很 有 感 觉。
Apart from singing, Cavin is also involved in acting. He acted as Tony Soh in one of the local-produced sitcoms.
October 2000 ~ Heh! After the long wait, we finally heard from them again. Yes! Their second album was finally out. According to the guys, the remixed oldie found in that album was sung on request by their parents.
Some of the songs found in Dreamz FM 2 were also previously found in their debut album.
Dreamz FM 2:
现 代 的 爱 情
心 好 累
等 着 你 回 来
沉 默
你 走 也 好
Baby Come Back
不 值 得
用 一 生 爱 你
不 会 有 什 么 问 题
出 口
爱 你 等 你
时 不 予 我
除 了 自 己
请 你 说 明 白
就 这 样 吧!
Priceless
