Scorpios are determined, emotional, powerful and exciting people. The depth and intensity of their emotions gives them an inner power that demands expression. Scorpios are creatures of passion, and their focused desires help them achieve their goals. Mysterious and fearless, they're willing to undergo total transformation when necessary. Scorpios have amazingly penetrating insight, allowing them to see what lies beneath the surface. They're ruthlessly self-critical in their quest for truth, understanding a little too well what makes them tick. Their perspective mind enjoys investigating all aspects of human nature. Their resulting awareness of their own motivations produces a healthy suspicion of other people and sometimes they take this to the extreme, becoming reluctant to trust anyone. Scorpios have an excellent memory when it comes to how things affected them emotionally. They have an inherent sense of justice and loyalty, and their fixed nature means that they hold onto hurts and betrayals for a long time. Deep seated bitterness may make it hard for them to dispel vengeful thoughts, and they are patient and secretive when plotting revenge. Scorpios are uncompromising, and when a commitment is made, they promise to stick to it. They need to feel good about what they're doing, and clear goals are important. Emotional fulfillment is vital, and if they don't have it in one area, they'll look for it in another. Scorpios have a charismatic, magnetic presence that usually attracts the attention of others. Deciding to use their energy for good or evil is ultimately the main dilemma that Scorpios face. Privacy is important to Scorpios, and they need to have a place where they can unwind without being disturbed. They're fond of old buildings with character and are sensitive to atmosphere. Something must "feel" right before a Scorpio commits to it.
As workers Scorpios are fiercely dedicated to succeed. Many talented Scorpios become doctors or nurses. Their probing minds make them excellent choices for investigative work. They show great courage when facing potential danger. Fascinated by jobs that involve money, Scorpios make excellent bankers, dealers, and analysts. Scorpios work best with Ariens, Taureans, Geminians, Cancers, Leos, Virgoans, Librans, Scorpios, Capricorns, Aquarians and Pisceans. They don't work well with Sagittarians due to the Sagittarian's restlessness with what they're doing in general.
Scorpios can be difficult people to get to know. Before opening up, they have to feel a certain amount of trust exists, and this may take awhile to develop. They usually form deep emotional bonds with others, and prefer to allow only a few friends to get really close to them. Even with close friends, Scorpios will keep a part of themselves secretive. Once a Scorpio has decided that a friendship is worth pursuing, they put lots of energy into developing solid companionship. They're good listeners and are fascinated to hear revealing personal details. Sometimes their compulsion to ask prying questions can make others uneasy. When it is their turn to talk, Scorpios are typically reluctant to give too much away, and are skilled at fending off unwelcome questions. Scorpios take loyalty very seriously. Trust is not something they bestow lightly, and betrayal causes deep and lasting wounds. It's hard for them to forgive and forget, and in some cases they're highly unforgiving. Honesty and commitment are important to them, and promises will be honorably kept. You can always depend on them in times of crisis; if you're really close, they'll suffer great hardships on your behalf ~ and expect you to do the same in turn. Scorpios get along best with Ariens, Taureans, Geminians, Cancers, Leos, Virgoans, other Scorpios, Sagittarians, Capricorns, Aquarians and Pisceans. Scorpios can almost never get along with Librans due to the Libran's inability to open up emotionally.
The body area of the Scorpio consists of the sexual organs. Their foods are strong tasting, similar to Aries. Scorpio's flowers and plants include geranium, rhododendron, blackthorn and hawthorn. The animals associated with them are insects.
Sailor Pluto is a Scorpio.
