Aquarians are honest, friendly, original and independent people. With a spirit that longs to break free from restrictions and conventional ideas, Aquarians are idealistic and innovative. Strongly drawn to humanitarian issues, they experiment to find their true identities. Aquarians are nonconformists, and are not afraid to break away from the usual. They're determined to follow their principles, even if it means shinning considered opinions and forging ahead on their own. Rebelling against the crowd gives them something to fight, and they possess a deep-rooted need to reform the status-quo. They may explore many visionary concepts, which only time may judge. Some ideas are later dismissed as mere eccentricity, while a few will give way to future trends. Aquarians obtain a great sense of satisfaction in rejecting already established values. In search for utopia, Aquarians are prepared to go at it alone. This contradiction makes personal relationships challenging, and their inner detachment struggles with emotional commitment. Aquarians wish to stay close, and at the same time want to stay free. With a global consciousness, Aquarians appreciate each culture for what it has to offer. They vehemently oppose prejudice, social injustice and oppression.
At work, Aquarians need to express their humanitarian impulses. They have an experimental approach to finding a niche, and there are sometimes a few wild misses before their talents discover the best outlet. Aquarians use their ideals and visions to fuel their search for fulfillment. Many Aquarians have logical minds that are capable of great insight and precision. They're drawn to becoming scientists and have a special love for electronics. Information technology, research and radiography are favorite choices of professions, allowing Aquarians to be innovative in advancing altruistic causes. They enjoy caring for others, and make great social workers. Charity and relief work are also appealing. Aquarians communicate well with children and are natural teachers. New-age careers, such as astrology, alternative medicine and pioneering pyschotherapy trends are also fruitful. Aquarians work best with Ariens, Geminans, Leos, Librans, Scorpios, Sagittarians, Capricorns, other Aquarians and Pisceans. They tend to find Taureans, Cancers, and Virgoans too stiff and unwilling to change.
Aquarians need friends, and their interest in people in general keeps their social circle wide and constantly fluctuating. They're true to themselves, and need their friends to accept their singular spirit. Aquarians are usually very friendly, and like to keep busy. They're careful to maintain a degree of distance, and occasionally give their friends the cold shoulder for no reason. They're extremely loyal and sympathetic. In many situations, they're quite selfless with their time and resources. Aquarians give their loyalty freely, and expect nothing in return. They're honest and discreet, and will always lend moral support, even if they disagree with their friends course of action. They love sharing their ideas and are fascinated by groups who are bound together by a cause. They get along best with Ariens, Taureans, Geminians, Leos, Librans, Scorpios, Sagittarians, other Aquarians, and Pisceans. They find Cancers, Virgoans, and Capricorns dull and too clingy.
The sensitive area of the Aquarius consists of their circulatory system, shins and ankles. Aquarian foods consist of frozen foods, citrus, apples, star fruit and dried fruit. Plants associated with Aquarius are orchids, golden rain, elderberry and other fruit trees. Aquarian animals are large birds that can fly great distances (e.g. the albatross).
Sailor Uranus is an Aquarius.
