Even so, Commander Endymion would always spare Sailor Moon's life, and to some extent even help her in difficult situations, much to Kunzite's displeasure. He would always claim that the only thing that mattered for him was acquiring the Holy Silver Crystal, so he didn't want to waste his time fighting with the sailor soldiers.

During the time of the final confrontation between Sailor Moon and the Dark Kingdom, Commander Endymion almost killed Sailor Moon. She knelt before him with the musical locket on her outstretched hands, and Endymion touched it. This enabled him to break free of the Dark Kingdom's influence.

In the end, Endymion perished protecting Sailor Moon from Queen Beryl.
