Karaberas, together with Petz, was the last of the Ayakashi sisters choose good over evil. During their final confrontation with Sailor Moon's group, Petz was so possessed by the dark power that she attacked even Karaberas. Karaberas was astonished when Sailor Moon showed concern for her, and was convinced that Petz was not herself anymore.

Karaberas and Petz eventually found out that Rubeus was using them for his own benefit, and they too asked Sailor Moon to turn them into ordinary human beings. Karaberas was then reunited with her sisters.
