The expenses of the trip will be paid by members of the CLAAiNA including return airfare ,all room and board . It is hoped that this will provide the dialogue of understanding and encouragement for helping the school to regain her statute of a reputable institution of learning for the young generation living in the south Asian regions

2.0 It is suggested that it be best to organize a group tour of China before attending the gala meeting of World Chung Ling Alumni in Peking in 1999.

Generalities:

CLAAiNA members are generally encouraged to obtain online access to the Internet and to use email as much as possible as the mean of communication among members and the rest of the world alumni.

Mr. Peng Khor had demonstrated the ease of gaining access to our web page at http://claaina.home.ml.org. A new member Mr. Soon Lye Lim from New York, USA had registered himself on line that night.

Mr. Jackie Thoo was at the piano entertaining all with the melodies for the setting of Chinese new year and of the spring festival.

Dr. Ah Yin Eng has written the history of his family with special emphasis on his mother who has reached the age of 100 last year. This is now published as a booklet and it was distributed to all attending the evening function. Any alumni who are interested to have a copy, please conact Dr. Eng by e mail at dreng@nrtco.net.

The evening was a happy gathering for about 20 families ( 4 from US). There was plenty of foods in Chinese / Malaysian flavors for everybody. It was an occasion for renewing old friendship and starting new ones among the alumni.

The meeting was adjourned at around 12:00 pm.
