Sport Karate International Amateur League
What is the NBL/SKI? To decribe our function in as few words as possible, the NBL and the SKI are the only international sport karate leagues based on a series of open tournaments to rate and qualify blackbelt and amateur competitors (players) to become sport karate world champions at a year-end World Games tournament. NBL ratings are free, and there is no membership fee to become a member. To become a member, one must be a BB competitor in one or more of the NBL's large number of regional or national tournaments. The SKI is the complementary sport karate league for amateur competitors.
The SKI assures amateur competitors a fair basis for regional competition, and encourages underbelt competitors to strive to reach the sport karate amateur world championships held with the World Games for the NBL.
Our members span the globe...from Mexico to Canada...from Guatemala to Ireland! The NBL is multinational! The ideals of the SKI and NBL are universal...the camaraderie and the warmth found at our World Games reach out across the globe, in a dozen countries and two dozen languages. Join us!
