"TRIUMPH"
This "alternate universe" story diverges when Ranma, a day after
being cursed, suddenly thinks of asking about the Nannichuan, and gets
himself and his father cured. However, a lasting side effect of his
experience is that he gains a strong empathy to women's feelings. (Genma
likewise has an empathy for pandas, but this has little use in the
story.)
The pair arrives in Joketsuzoku, where Ranma realizes that
Shampoo secretly loves Mousse and only rejects him because she thinks his
eyesight is an infirmity. He helps the two get together and recommends a
good eye surgeon. Cologne is so grateful for Ranma making her
great-granddaughter happy that she teaches him all her secret martial
arts techniques.
Ranma is happily reunited with his mother, who is thrilled with
how manly her son has become. The family then travels to the Tendou
Dojo, where Ranma is engaged to Akane. Despite her initial anger at the
arrangement, Ranma is soon able to show himself a respectful and kind
fiance, and they fall in love.
While at the Dojo, Ranma is able to diagnose the reason Nabiki is
so money-hungry and help her overcome her isolation, as well as setting
Kasumi up with Dr. Tofu.
When Ryouga shows up, Ranma handily defeats him, and accidentally
reveals the lost boy's pig form to Akane (Ryouga's cursing happened
during the day Ranma was cursed, and he wasn't able to find his way back
to get the cure.) It takes some doing, but Ranma is finally able to
restore his friendship with Ryouga, just in time to match him with Ukyou.
Many of the battles with foes take place, with Ranma handily
winning them all. (The defeat of Pantyhose Tarou while blindfolded with
one arm tied behind his back is particularly spectacular.)
Finally comes Ranma and Akane's wedding day, and they're just
about to consummate--\
When Ranma wakes up and finds out it's all been a dream.
