Dragonball and all its incarnations are based on the works of Akira Toriyama, copyrighted by Toei Television and Bandai. Etc...

DRAGONBALL GT

This is the third of the series of Japanese animation base on the creation of Akira Toriyama.

The first of the series was called DRAGONBALL. This was the story of Son Gokou, a small, innocent, yet very skilled and powerful young boy that unusually has a monkey like tail and great resistance and a never give up attitude. The series shows how this young child overcomes obstacles in life in the form of demons, monsters, and sometimes friends through learning, fighting and with the help of seven magical balls known as the dragonball.

Son Gokou
Pan  DRAGONBALL Z

This is the second series. It starts with a revelation on what is Son Gokou's true nature. He discovers through his brother that he is a Saiyan, a breed of super warriors with superlative abilities and power that Son Gokou has never imagined. He soon realized that he prefers to fight for the truth, for justice and not for destruction like how Saiyans are trained for. Utimately he protects his friends and Earth from the terror of the Saiyans and much more powerful foes he encounters here on Earth and on distant planets. He eventually prepares his son, Son Gohan, to become a much more powerful fighter and with the help of new friends and again with the dragonballs defeat great monsters, androids, and magical beings from destroying Earth.

DRAGONBALL GT

Now its been about 10 years after the end of the last series that Dragonball GT continues the story. This time Son Gokou is accidentally wished to become a child again. To alleviate the situation the trio of Son Gokou, Trunks, and Pan (Son Gohan's daughter) set on an adventure to locate and retrieve the dragonballs that are apparently scattered across the galaxy. They do succed in retrieving the dragonballs, but not without running into trouble. One of which would terrorize Earth and even gain control of the population. But Son Gokou saves the people of Earth and his family and friends again with his new found strength and a little help from a god.
