Part 9: Into You (Darkness and Light)

 

3 Koume: It's time.  The army will start attacking.

 

4 Koume: Take care, Momiji!

 

7 Newscaster:  Good morning.  This is "News Wide."  According to the spokesman, the army will attack the huge monster at seven o'clock this morning.  Some have speculated that this creature was created by radioactive contamination, while others say it is simply a monster.  Regardless, it will be eliminated today.

 

Newscaster:  A specialist mentioned that it is some kind of bio-hazard...  Is it possible that the government and the army are hiding something?

 

8 Officer:  I don't like that comment.  That will only serve to stir up the suspicion of the nations.

 

9 Kunikida:  I guess the nations have a right to know.  I already gave you the NLM report.  You can make it as public as you wish.

Officer:  No!  Who would believe that this monster existed several thousand years ago and is trying to destroy Japan?!  Our economy will be damaged, people will sell Yen all over the world.  do you know what that means?

Kunikida:  Japan is poor in natural resources.  Cheaper Yen will make the purchase of natural resources difficult.

Momiji:  I couldn't save Kusanagi.  There was nothing I could do...

Kusanagi: I don't care if your Aragami destroy humanity.  I'm not an ally of the humans.

98 Man: We already "reprogrammed" your soul.  Why do you think you still have to protect the Kushinada?
