Chapter VI
Journey Onward
"Oww!!!" Dante yelped as he woke up, "My head's pounding! Why?"
May, already up and dressed, froze in her tracks.
"Well, no.....I had a drink the bartender gave me, I think that's what screwed me up," Dante said, rubbing his head, "Everything after that is all fuzzy."
"Yeah! Um, anyway...we should get going if we're gonna look for treasure!" she said, clenching her fist.
"What about helping me?" he asked.
"Look," May said with a sigh, "I don't know how to send you home, where to start looking, or even what we're supposed to be looking for.....but we'll find it. Until then, I need to make a living, and you promised to help me."
"I know...." Dante sighed.
"Aww C'mon! Cheer up, it isn't that bad. Before you know it, you'll be home in no time!" she exclaimed, "Besides, I could use the company."
"Okay," Dante said, starting to cheer up.
"Well then? Let's get going!" she said tugging at Dante's hand.
May and Dante started down the already crowded streets.
"First off, we have to get you some new clothes," May said examining Dante, "We can't have you walking around like THAT."
"What's wrong with my clothes?" asked Dante.
"They don't fit in, you look like your not from here." she said.
"But I'm NOT from here!" Dante replied.
"That's the point!" shouted May, "We have to make you look like everyone else so you don't attract any unwanted attention to yourself."
"What? I don't see any me attracting any attention..." said Dante.
May gritted her teeth as she saw all the people stopping, staring, pointing, and gossiping.
"Isn't that May? Who's that piece of trash with her?"
"Must be a foreigner, only they would dress like THAT."
"I guess they're hard up for attention."
"I guess she's into erotisism....poor girl, such a waste."
May snapped.
"WILL YOU SHUT UP ALREADY!" May screamed, fangs protruding from her mouth and spitting fire.
The crowd gulped as she growled at the groups of people on both sides of her.
"Aaaaaaaaaa!"
"Aaaaaaaaaa!"
Everyone quickly moved 10 feet away in one step.
May then turned to Dante with a beautiful face.
"Shall we be off?" she tilted her head to the side and smiled, closing her eyes.
"Y-you animal..." Dante said plastered to the wall, eyes wide open.
May's happy smile immediatley changed to a scowl with flames surrounding her.
"WHAT???!!!!" She hissed.
"N-nothing! Nothing!" Dante said, sweat dripping from his face.
May's face went back to it's happy smile, "Good! Now let's get going."
"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Dante screamed.
"HELP ME! SOMEONE HELP ME! MONSTER!" Dante screamed as he was drug down the street. May had a firm grip on his ankle and a happy smile on her face, whereas Dante's fingers screeched against the pavement, "MONSTER!...."
The townspeople looked onward at the poor soul.....then quickly pulled out shamen beads and holy crosses as they said a prayer for the dead.
"But I'm not dead yet!!!" Dante yelled from the horizon.

Meanwhile:
Calysta stood in the center of the circular room, know as the Great Hall. It was home to bands of wizards and warlocks alike, but only the most intelligent and powerful were allowed entrance. Calysta stood straight and firm as she was critiqued on her performance at the Colliseum later that day.
"You know you have lost your chance of obtaining the rank of "Grand Witch" don't you, Calysta?" said Eror, the Grand High Wizard of the Guild.
"Yes......" she replied.
"And why did this come to BE?" he asked, raising his thick, white eyebrows.
"IT WASN'T MY FAULT!" she shouted.
Eror huffed, Calysta composed herself and continued.
"It wasn't my fault, it was that.......boy."
She scowled.
"What boy?" questioned Eror, "And what pain has he wrought?"
Calysta was hesitant about exposing her mistake.
"I summoned a boy," Calysta said lowering her head, " he came out of the sky from a pillar of light and..."
"WHAT?!" Eror yelled as the members in attendance started mumbled amongest themselves.
"I know, sir. I hadn't realized that I didn't know the spell until then..."
"Nevermind that!" hollered Eror, "What has happened to this summoned boy?!"
"Well, I left him..."
"LEFT HIM?!?!" shouted Eror.
"Yes. I figured since he was a summoned creature, he should return to his plane of exsistance on his own," said Calysta.
"I SHOULD STRIKE YOU DOWN WHERE YOU STAND!" hollered Eror.
Several members of the councel held Eror down and tried to calm him. The mumbling throught the room became even louder. Eror began to calm himself.
A shocked and scared Calysted asked, "Wh..what have I done?"
"You should always look after a summoned creature until it has vanished," Eror said with eyes shut, and teeth and fist clenched, "Go! Go find that boy! Don't return till you find him!"
"Y...yes sir!" Calysta said, running out of the Great Hall."
"THIS MEETING HAS FINISHED!" shouted the Grand high wizard, retiring into a back room with a few other high ranking officials.
"Eror, could it be?" asked a mage, "The, the warrior of legend?"
"No doubt in my mind...The SOL" Eror scowled, as he sat in his chair and folded his fingers in front of his face, "Everyone, leave." Eror said without moving a muscle.
all of the officers left without objection. The room was empty.
"This definately puts us in a bind, doesn't it?" said Eror.
"Not at all," said a voice, "Kill the sampling before it becomes a tree. Just find him. And kill him...."
