Naoko Takeuchi's Biografy
Right now I'm gonna confess...that there weren't much ,,heart broken" events throughout my
life. Though, what Sailormoon done with my mental conscience...quite frankly. Episodes
number 45 (Final Battle, 1.session) and 110 (Death of Uranus and Neptune, 3.session)
made me force into never before experienced feelings...understanding the value of surrounding
people, the meaning of true friendship.
Naoko designed Anime/Manga the way not many people menaged before and made it...right now
I'm deciding whetever to use 'The Best Anime Ever' expresion, or not...though
a moonie would say, that Sailormoon gave him a whole new perspective a and maybe even
brought a brand new meaning to his life.
I would like to dedicate this page to the person that favoured me with four years lasting
happiness.
Biografy:
Naoko was born on March 15, 1967. She made her first manga "Love Call", which
won Nakayoshi New manga-ka award, while she was still attending the pharmacy University,
but since then, never drew any Manga. After graduating she took a job as pharmacist. Fortunately
(for us ^.^) her editor talked her into exposing her talent as Manga artist and so she
worked on the project called Code Name Sailor V, which put a basis to what
she is today. February 1992 - manga named Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon.
Not even a month after this, on March 7, BSSM was released as TV serial.
Her
next projects were mainly concerning about her life expriences.
Naoko's second life changing event happened in Audust 21 1998, when she got married
to Yoshihiro Togashi, the creator of "Yu-Yu Hakusho". The most loveable thing about
it is, that Yoshihiro never heard about Sailor Moon when they first met, so the
whole romance was mining from the pure strenght of their love, not money and fame.
It is said, that many Manga artists, even the voice artists of inner senshi were
present at the wedding and sang the "Moonlight Densetsu", as Naoko and Yoshihiro exchanged
rings and so enclosed their relationship in eternal union.
After this Mrs. Naoko along with her husband wrote many books descibing their lifetime
succeeds and falls, joys and miseries. They drew many calendars and postcard but their
sale was limited in number, so only few people possess the gift from the first hand.
In one of her books (Gebga-shuu Vol.5) dedicated to Sailor Moon
fans all over the world, she left a note at the end written in japanese. It says the
following:
,,There are people who support Sailor Moon manga or anime in places where I don't even know! This is exciting! Everytime I read fan letters from somewhere far away, it brings tears in my eyes. Tears of joy. It warms up my heart and makes me say "I'm going to live my life fully from tomorrow." I was able to discover this kind of joy by drawing Sailor Moon. First, "Sailor Moon" was a little personal world made up and existed only in my mind. But now with many people's work, it's spread all over the world. Seeing many people from all over the world writing to me and saying "I love Sailor Moon," I know that it happened for real. I won't say "I can't believe it" anymore. I used to think people in other countries have different languages, lifestyle, race, and therefore, it is difficult to understand each other. But now I know everybody is the same human being. With everybody's power, everybody can share the same feeling. I have many dreams. One of them is to look at the earth from space. But now, I can think the same thing that an astronaut would think by looking at the earth from space even when I am sitting down facing my desk or laying in my bed. There's only one earth. I am very very happy that I can feel this joy. I am so glad that I drew Sailor Moon. Thank you so much everybody. I dedicate this book to all the Sailor Moon fans all over the world with love. Wishing everybody happiness....."
