This is my page to describe one of my favorite anime's.  Below are pics and descriptions of some of the main Characters.  

I usually am not real picky if you take pictures from my page, but all of the Transparent gifs of the Chibi Ranma characters I made (made not drew) myself, and it took quite a while to do.  So i'd appreciate if you write me and ask if you want to use them.  At the very least link to my page =)

Ranma 1/2 is a hilarious comedy with a whole slew of characters created by Rumiko Takahashi.  It entails a story about a guy named Ranma Saotome and his unique curse.  Every time he gets Splashed with cold water her turns into a busty, red-headed version of him self.  The effect reverses with hot water, but only until the next time.  His Father forces him into an engagement  with Akane Tendo.   Neither are crazy about the deal, in fact at first they hate each other.  Things get even crazier when all of Ranma's other "fiancées" start showing up.  it seems Ranma's father Genma throws around Ranma's engagements pretty freely. =)

Cast of Characters

This is Ranma Saotome, both boy-type and girl-type.  He maybe a great martial artist, but he has had his share of being stomped on, blown up, punched, smacked, harrassed ect...  by the many people who either hate or love him.  Not to mention he was drug off at a young age by his father to go on a training mission, which restulted in his curse.  Life has got to be tough for this 16 year old.

This is Akane Tendo.  She is The youngest of the three Tendo daughters, and the lucky one to be engaged to Ranma.  That might not be to bad, if he didn't change into a girl, if she didn't have to fight off his many fiancées, and if she'd admit to herself just how much she really loves Ranma.  It doesn't help that Ranma always picks on her about her lack of feminine qualities.  In other words, she can't cook, sew, and isn't very graceful.  Oh well she has good fashion sense. =)

This is Nabiki Tendo.  She is the middle child in the Tendo Family.  She is kinda a trouble maker, and a gold digger of sorts.  She will do just about anything to make a buck.  Including selling pictures of Akane and "the pig tailed girl" aka Girl-type Ranma to Tatewaki Kuno for cash.  She has expensive tastes and really doesn't think that much of others.  she always has some smart comment to make about the situation at hand.

This is Kasumi Tendo.  She is the oldest of the Three Tendo Daughters.  She is a kind gentle person who loves to do things for others.   After her mother died she took on the responsibility of being the mom in the house.   She does the cooking, sewing, cleaning, and just about any other chore with a smile.  Sometimes she seems kinda clueless, if nothing else almost completely oblivious to all the crazy things that go on in her household.

These two Are Soun Tendo, and Genma Saotome.  They are the Parents of the Characters mentioned above.  They aren't the best parents in fact they are pretty lazy and greedy.  And if you ask why Genma is a Panda, well he got cursed on the same Trip that Ranma did.  Soun would do anything to see Akane and Ranma marry, and Genma and Ranma are always Fighting over some silly thing or another.

This is P-chan Akane's Nickname for Ryoga Habiki's alter ego.   Akane doesn't know it is him though.  Ryoga is hoplessly in love with Akane and hates Ranma because he doesn't treat her like he should, and wants Akane as his own.   But for now he'll admire her from a far, because he isn't brave enough to tell Akane the truth.  Ryoga also has an AWFUL sense of didrection and is always getting lost.

This is Shampoo.  One of Ranma's many fiancées.  Actually he technically isn't but she sure seems to think so.  She was defeated by Girl-type Ranma in the past and according to her Amazon Custom, she must kill her.  Well she hunts Ranma down and he defeats her again, but as a guy which by her custom means she should marry him.  How confusing is THAT!!  So at first she wants to kill Girl-type Ranma and marry Boy-type!!  She eventually stops wanting to Kill Girl Ranma.  She is Very affectionate towards Ranma when he is in either form, which drives Akane nuts!!!  She is cursed too, she turns into a Cat. Unfortunately Ranma is deathly afriad of cats!

This is Mousse.  He is also from China Like Shampoo, and has known her and been in love with her for Years.  Which is unfortunate for him, because he didn't beat Shampoo in battle, unlike Ranma.  Therefore his love for his Dear Shampoo is unrequited and probably always will be.  He has Very bad eyesight and is always mistaking things for other people.  He works at Shampoo's Great-Grandmother's restaurant with Shampoo.  He is also Cursed, like many  of the Characters.  His curse turns him into a duck.  To bad his eyesight isn't any better as a duck. =)

This giant spatula wielding girl is Ukyo.   She uses the spatula to make okonomiaki.   She is One of Ranma's fiancées.  She was promised to Ranma after Akane, for a Okonomiaki Cart (because Genma was hungry)  Later on he and Ranma ran off with the Cart.  Ukyo was so disgraced she dress as a boy, devoting herself to making Okonomiaki, hoping to never get hurt like that again.  Later on in life she came back to get revenge on the Saotomes, but instead she fell in love with Ranma when he made the comment that she was cute. 

These two are Tatewaki (he is called Kuno) and Kodachi Kuno.  These two are definately a pair, and they are a constant pain in the side for both Akane and Ranma.  Kuno is constantly Chasing after both Akane and "the pig tailed girl,"  Spouting bad poetry and claiming to be madly in love with both.  Not only that but he hates Ranma because he is engaged to Akane, but doesn't realize the pig tailed girl is really Girl-type Ranma.  Kodachi is his sister and claims to be Ranma's fiancée, and will do ANYTHING to break up him and Akane, including lying and cheating.  She is a rythmic gymnast, and often uses her skills to get what she wants, by attacking with her ribbon.  The tow are both pretty selfish and spoiled considering they are Very rich.

This is Cologne and Happosai.  These two are very old, and though look alike, they act very different.  Cologne is Shampoo's Great Grandmother and the leader of their amazon tribe.  She will do just about anything to see Shampoo and Ranma married.  Happosai is a Perverted old man, often seen carrying a bag of   stolen panties and bras being followed by a mob of Angry girls, which is his strange hobby.  He is always trying to find ways to see the various Female characters in the buff.  He is also Genma and Soun's Master, even though I don't think they really want him to be.
