Part 2: That Fateful Night

"Way to go Pikachu!" Ash gave Pikachu a high five. "Now, we got ourselves a quartz badge!"

A happy Pikachu made funny dances around in circles. Misty burst out laughing. She looked over her shoulders to check for Brock. She frowned seeing Brock sitting alone by the riverbank.

"Ash, Ash!" Misty nudged him, trying to get his attention.

"What's wrong, Misty?" Ash asked.

"Look over there!" She pointed over to Brock.

"I see." Ash stood up, walked over to Brock.

Soon, Pikachu and Misty followed behind. Brock was busy tossing rocks into the water, thinking deeply. He was unaware that his friends took a seat next to him.

"Hi Brock!" His friends greeted warmly.

"Hi!" Brock said quietly, without turning his head. They were contented sitting quietly and watching over the nighttime scenery.

"Do you think I'm a loser?" Brock asked all of a sudden.

"No." His friends answered, sounding surprised.

"Brock, are you still upset about earlier?" Misty asked. "Don't be. You know it isn't true."

"But they're right!" Brock burst out. "I can't even get one measly date. What's wrong with me?"

"There's nothing wrong with you." Ash interjected. "You're a kind, smart and a good friend."

"Besides, you just haven't found that girl for you!" Misty pointed out. "You will, somehow."

"I hope you're right," Brock said quietly.

"Pika! Pi!" Pikachu interrupted, pointing over at the sky.

"Hey you guys!" Ash said excitedly. "Pikachu just found a shooting star!"

A meteor passed by, Brock made a quick wish. "I hope I can find her out there. Whoever she is." The meteor shiningly twinkled as it disappeared.

There was chaos everywhere in Tokyo City. Terrified citizens ran for their lives from being attacked by a group of malicious zombies. Five heroic girls in sailor uniforms appeared on the scene, coming to their rescue.

"Take this! Venus Love Chain Encircle!" A heart chain surrounded Super Sailor Venus, targeting her enemies. The zombies were all trapped inside the heart chain.

"Jupiter Thunderclap Zap!" Super Sailor Jupiter threw a small thunderbolt disc at the zombies, became electrified.

"My turn! Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss!" With Eternal Sailor Moon's eternal tier above her, energy waves burst out and turned the zombies back to ashes.

"Alright!" Eternal Sailor Moon shouted.

"Look!" Super Sailor Mars warned. "We've got company."

A group of zombies appeared from the shadows, gathering in a large circle to trap the sailor scouts inside.

"They're too many of them." Super Sailor Mercury cried out. "We have to gather our powers together!"

"Ready Scouts?" Eternal Sailor Moon asked.

All nodded their heads in agreement. They gathered around in a small circle and holding hands together. They concentrated and called out their powers.

"Eternal Moon Power!"
"Mercury Crystal Power!"
"Mars Crystal Power!"
"Jupiter Crystal Power!"
"Venus Crystal Power!"

All the scouts began to glow, gathering enough energy to destroy those zombies. A stranger was watching them above the rooftop of an office building. A shadow appeared, floating in the air.

"Don't fail me, Grim Reaper. I'm counting on you." The shadow said.

"I won't fail you, Master Chaos." The stranger answered. Bowing deeply revealed a terrifying skeleton. Grim Reaper placed his hood back in place. Facing the scouts, he raised his reaper and chanted a spell. Heavy fog rolled in the city. Thunder soon followed, striking the ground to tremble. Super Sailor Mars concentration was broken. She quickly dropped her hand. She sensed an eerie presence nearby.

"What's wrong Mars?" Super Sailor Mercury asked.

"We have to leave now." Super Sailor Mars ordered. "Something's not right here!"

"What about those zombies?!" Eternal Sailor Moon questioned.

"NOW! GO!" Super Sailor Mars warned.

Sensing her friend's urgency, Eternal Sailor Moon ordered the scouts to leave.

"I don't think so!" A deep cold voice answered. A strong wind blew them away, slamming their backs against the wall. They all became unconscious. Grim Reaper snapped his hands. A mysterious force dragged Eternal Sailor Moon away from her friends. A black hole appeared, bringing Eternal Sailor Moon closer to her doom. A red rose suddenly was thrown in front of Grim Reaper. He looked up to see Tuxedo Mask and the outer scouts with him.

"It's over!" Tuxedo Mask declared.

"Not yet! Dark soldiers come forth now!" Grim Reaper ordered. Skeletons and zombies appeared. The outer scouts began their fight. Tuxedo Mask took Sailor Moon in his arms while the Grim Reaper looked away. Grim Reaper turned back to see the two escaped. He threw his reaper across the unexpected Tuxedo Mask in the left shoulder. Tuxedo Mask dropped on his knees, clutching at his painful shoulder.

Out of her unconsciousness, Super Sailor Venus woke up feeling disoriented. Trying to seat up, she saw the defenseless Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Moon in trouble. Grim Reaper was coming near them.

"I've got to help them!" Super Sailor Venus exclaimed. "Venus Crescent Beam Smash!" A laser beam sprang out from her forefinger, hitting the Grim Reaper on the chest and he tripped backwards. Sailor Venus sat back. She was still suffering from dizziness.

Grim Reaper stood up, clutching at his chest. With an angered look, he snapped his fingers. Super Sailor Venus felt a hand choking her throat. She was lifted off the ground by gravity. She flew through the air and brought her facing Grim Reaper. She saw the hatred look in his eyes.

"Better say your prayers, Sailor Venus! You're going to need them!" Grim Reaper laughed. A black hole appeared beside him. "No!" Super Sailor Venus screamed as she plunged into the darkness.
