About Sailormars:

She is the beautiful priestess Hino Rei, but to the rest of the world, she is the Senshi who controls fire, Sailormars. Hino Rei is first introduced when Usagi and Ami go to Hikawa Jinja (a shrine). Rei notices some evil energy nearby, and takes out one of her anti-evil signs and put it on Usagi's head. Usagi passes out, and when she regains consciousness, Rei apologizes to her for doing what she did. Later on, Rei finds out that Jadeite (who's working at the shrine) is the source of the evil energy she has been sensing, and Jadeite sends her through a hole. The MOtD starts to choke Rei, and the sign of Mars appears on her forehead. Luna tell her to transform using the pen that she found at the shrine( Luna had dropped it). Rei does, and becomes Sailormars.

Rei was born on April 17. Her sign is Aries, and her blood type is AB. She lives at Hikawa Jinja with her grandfather. For both junior high and high school, she went to T*A Private Girls School.

In the anime, Rei-chan's voice is done by Tomizawa Michie.

In the manga (and only in the manga), Sailormars is also the princess of Mars. Her castle is called Phobos Deimos Castle, and her guardian is Guardian Mars.

Comments:

When I first watched the DiC version of Sailormoon, I hated Rei-chan (well, actually, Raye). I thought thar she was too b*tchy and soooo mean to Serena. Then, I watched some of the original episodes and Rei-chan went from least favorite Senshi to around seventh or eighth favorite(hey, we're talking seventh or eighth out of *all* of the Senshi mentioned, both anime and manga). I know, now, that Rei-chan considers Usagi-san as her best friend (she's the only one out of all of the Senshi who calls Usagi-san Usagi, meaning that they are *very* close friends). And in the R movie (man, I keep mentioning that movie), at the end. That was so sad. "Usagi! You said you wouldn't die! Lier!" (I think the word she said for lier was "O tsuku!" I'm not sure, though). *Sobsob* *Sigh* Anyways, I like Rei-chan, maybe not as much as Ami-chan, or Seiya-kun, but she's still in my top ten list.
