Drugs/Alcohol

Q. What does alcohol have to do with teen pregnancy?

Alcohol has a lot to do with teen pregnancy. At times teens will go to parties and drink. When they go to these parties they often do not know when to stop drinking, like some adults do. So they go over their bodies' alcohol immunity levels and become drunk. Common tendencies of getting drunk are confusion, forgetting where you are, memory loss, passing out, puking, and different feelings (such as people wanting to have sex or thinking someone is good looking and they usually wouldn't think that), it can also cause temporary amnesia. Drunken teens often do not realize what they are doing and they start having sex without really thinking about it, or using any anti-pregnancy devices.

As a suggestion more and more teens today are starting to get into marijuana, which makes students drowsy, lose there senses of good judgment, and give them a sense of "freedom and happiness", as quoted by an unnamed marijuana user. It also causes people to have strong feelings like lust for others that they usually wouldn't like at all. This causes them to have sex and usually they end up pregnant. There is also a drug called Rohypnol, which is known as the "date rape drug". This is used as a sleeping pill and can knock people out for 6-8 hrs.
