Rough Draft! I know this needs editing, etc... but it's all I have up at the moment...

"How will I anger every girl in Konan?" Klay-Zayin asked calmly.

"I'll let you figure that out. I'm sure you can think of something," Thalassa grinned wickedly. "But when you do find her, kill her without hesitation."

He nodded.

"And you may keep in touch with me using this," Thalassa handed him a small mirror. "I expect nightly reports of your progress. Also kill anyone who has a glowing red symbol on their body immediately. Anyone who has a blue symbol, have them brought to me ALIVE, although I doubt they will be found in Konan."

Another nod. "It will be done."

"I know," Thalassa smiled wickedly again. "That is why I summoned you. You are the most efficient warrior I have in my army. And like me, you are completely heartless, something needed for this mission."

Klay-Zayin nodded and exited the throne room to prepare for the journey.

Thalassa smiled. Her general truly was the most ruthless of her minions, and the only one not forced to call her "Your Highness". In a way, he was almost her equal. Almost. She smiled again, turning to the scroll and commencing her reading...

Meanwhile, in Konan, Talia, a simple farm girl, lived her normal life unaware of the destiny fate had bestowed upon her.

"Good morning, mother," she smiled as she walked from one of the family's two bedrooms into the main room that served as kitchen, dining room, and living room. Her younger sister, Yasu, trailed behind her. Talia grabbed one of the rolls her mother had prepared that morning and picked up her pack of tools as she muched on the rool, heading out the doorway. "I'm off to check the crops," she told him. "I'll be back in an hour or two."

"Wait for me!" her brother Jamil told her. She sighed. Younger than her by two years, Jamil liked to help her, but he got in the way sometimes.

"Jamil, you have to watch Yasu today," Talia reminded him.

"I can do it," their mother told them. "You two can go together."

Talia rolled here eyes. "Fine, come along then," she told him. She was walking out to the fields just on the outskirts of town when she ran into Teneke.

"Hi," he gave her his typical warm smile. "Going to work in the fields again?"

She nodded.

"You know, that kind of work is really too tough for a woman to be doing. You should be staying at home."

Talia knew he was just concerned, but it was aggravating. "I'll say when something's too tough for me to do, and this isn't, okay?"

He sighed, knowing there was no stopping Talia when she set her mind to something. Arguing would just make her more stubborn. But that was one of the qualities that made her adorable. He smiled at her. "Just don't get hurt, okay?" He brushed her cheek gently with one hand and continued on his way.

Talia sighed. She was glad he didn't bring up the whole thing again. The two had been betrothed when she could barely walk, but to tell the truth, neither of them cared to get married. He was more like a big brother to her than anything else, even though there was only a year's difference in their ages. Now, at seventeen, she was beginning to get a lot of pressure about the marriage.

"Um, Talia? Are you okay?" Jamil asked her.

"Nothing, just spacing off again. Sorry. We'll," she shifted the pack from one shoulder to the other, "Let's get going so we can be home all the quicker...

He raced through the streets, shifting from shadow to shadow. Keten was a wanted man in this city now. It had only been a little piece of fruit. He didn't realize people in this town were so picky about thievery. But a nomadic type like him didn't have much time for growing his own food, or for making money. he had to keep moving. He had to find the priestess. That's what the funny old woman Taiitsukun had told him. He'd been shown an image of the girl and was told to go to Lyton to find her. It was his duty to protect her, and even though he resented it, he didn't have much else to do. He cared little for Suzaku, or even Konan. But perhaps this would be interesting. Obviously the girl was in danger, hence the reason he had to travel quickly to find her. He was only a day's journey from Lyton now, anyway. He looked down at his arm, where the red symbol would sometimes appear. The symbol that never made sense to him before, until Taiitsukun appeared to him and explained everything. Soon, he would meet his destiny... soon.

Uriel scowled. He hated this business, but he knew there was no avoiding it. He glared at the back of his hand with resentment. It wasn't his choice, but to disobey the orders of the Empress was to ensure yourself a long and painful death. And she had ordered anyone who sometimes showed a blue or red character on their bodies to report to her. If he didn't turn himself in, others who knew about it would. He was being led to the throne room now, and it took a minute for him to control his temper.

When he entered the room, the Empress glared at him coldly. "You claim to be one of the Seiryuu Seven? One of the marked?"

"I am." He forced himself to be humble.

"What does the symbol mean? And where does it appear?" She asked him calmly. "Fire. On the back of my hand," he replied.

She checked the scroll and nodded. "You tell the truth. Good for you, or else I might have had to kill you." She snapped her fingers. A guard stepped forward.

"See that he gets comfortably situated in his new chambers." To Uriel, she said, "You will be staying here in Kutou Palace until we discover the other Seiryuu Seven." With that he was dismissed.

Uriel was fuming. What the hell did she think she was doing??? But there wasn't a thing he could do about it.

Back in the throne room, Thalassa smiled. "One down, six to go." She chuckled. And to think that Konan had no clue what was abouy to begin...

Kyrene sighed. Life was dull. She sat up in bed. "Can't get to sleep," she muttered. Throwing on more clothing, she walked out the door of her tiny one-room house in the city, the capital of Kutou, and stepped into the street. She didn't care that she was a nineteen-year old girl wandering the streets long past town curfew. The moon was full, the air was clear, and she was awake. What else mattered? If she were attacked, she could take care of herself. She'd been living on her own since she was 13.

"Hey, you!" A male voice called.

Kyrene rolled her eyes and drew out one of her throwing daggers. She turned. When she was the guard standing there, she muttered a curse under her breath.

"You know everyone's supposed to be indoors by sundown," the guard told her as another guard stepped around the corner to stand beside him.

"Oops." Kyrene muttered sarcastically, smirking. "Must've slipped my mind." She knew she was asking for it, but she was in the mood for trouble.

"We order you to desist now and allow us to escort you back to your home."

"Like hell you will," Kyrene snorted, moving into fighting stance.

"We will use force if necessary," the guard told her.

"Try me," she muttered. She poised her dagger, concentrating on aiming for an ankle. Injuring, but not killing the guard. Injuring would bring her jailtime. Killing would mean execution. She focused all her energy on the throw, since a miss could be really bad for her, to put it mildly.

That was when she heard the second guard gasp. "She has the mark!" He told the first guard. Guard 1 stood and gaped. "Miss, I'm terribly sorry about all this. I apologize. We will escort you to the palace now."

Kyrene looked at the two, dumbfounded. It took her a moment to realize they were talking about the mark on her forehead that appeared sometimes when she fought. The mark that had caused her to be alienated. The symbol that was ultimately the reason she ran away. She had no time for people who hated her for the mark on her forehead. And now she was getting an audience with the Empress for it? She smirked. Talk about irony.

She let the guards lead her to the palace. Hell, it was a lot better place than where she stayed now, and things were certainly getting interesting.

The Empress seemed to be a woman after Kyrene's own heart, although much less tempestuous. She explained the legend to Kyrene briefly, and dismissed her to new chambers within the palace.

Kyrene lay on the bed in her new room and smiled. She was going to like it here. They actually liked the fact that she'd grown up without morals. She had the chance to have three wishes granted as well. ANY three wishes. Her mind raced through the possibilities. But this Suzaku girl the Empress had described could be a problem. She scowled. True, she would like it in the palace, but she'd feel better if she were doing something. She summoned a guard and gave him a message, then waitied for a reply. The result was another audience with the Empress Thalassa.

"You wish to seek out this priestess?" The Empress asked Kyrene.

Kyrene nodded. "Yes. I will feel much better if I know she is dead, or if I took part in her death."

"Such bloodthirstiness for a nineteen-year-old," the Empress told her. "It is a refreshing quality, and for it, I grant you your request, on one condition."

A young man stepped through the door, led by guards. The Empress continued. "This is Uriel, one of your seven warriors. HE will accompany you on your journey."

The young man looked none too happy about this, but nodded nonetheless.

"Klay-Zarin, General of the Kutou army, is already hot on the girl's trail. He communicates with me nightly by means of an enchanted mirror. I will have him meet with you in the town of Asa." and with that, the two were dismissed.

After packing supplies, the two unlikely companions headed off southwest for the town of Asa...

And so it begins...
