| In the Universe of the Four Gods, there are four main countries, one for each of the cardinal directions North, South, East, and West. Seiryuu, sometimes spelled Seiryu, is the god of the country of Kutou, in the east. Seiryuu is often represented by a blue dragon, and is the more wicked counterpart of Suzaku, the Phoenix God. Suzaku is the patron god of Konan, the southernmost kingdom in the Universe of the Four Gods. Most of the action in Fushigi Yuugi centers around Seiryuu or Suzaku and their respective countries, although Hokkan and Sairou, with thier gods Genbu and Byakko, respectively, do take part in the plot somewhat. Genbu is represented by a turtle (more or less) and Byakko by a white tiger. I do not know much about these two gods as of yet, since I do not own the entire series of Fushigi Yuugi (yet) and do not wish to read spoilers. *g*
