Lina Inverse 

           Lina is our short-tempered heroine. The series
 starts out with her traveling along by herself. She is joined
 by Gourry Gabriev fairly soon. Together, they travel here and 
there, beating up bandits, although only (Well Lina does,
 anyway,) to take their loot. She merits the good-guy status,
 though, because she does defeat a few Dark Lords. (Even if the
 most powerful being in the universe, the Lord of Nightmares, IS
 acting through her, but still, not many mortals can take that
 kind if stress on their mind, soul, and body.)
           She controls the most powerful black magic spells:
 the dragon (dragu) and giga slave. Her attack of choice
 however, is generally a fireball. She is easily angered enough 
to blast you with one. Just make a comment about her rather
 small bust size, and (FIREBALL!!!! ooh, ow, thanks for proving
 my point, Lina, ouch, ow, ow) well, like I said, it's easy to
 get blasted. She has a sister named Luna, but we see very
 little of her. Her sisters’ name alone strikes fear into
 Lina’s heart. Apparently, Luna raised her, with only a few
 visits from her parents. Lina is a very loyal friend, but with
 violent tendencies.
