*Will you be buying a 3,000 gil Ticket or be buying the Gold Card for 30,000 gil?* Hopefully you chose to buy a Gold Card because it's a better deal.....now, onto the 'Squares'! Where would you like to go? Chocobo Square Wonder Square Battle Square Speed Square Ghost Square Event Square Round Square Chocobo Square At Chocobo Square you can either bet on Chocobo races or be a Jockey in a race. You can only be a jockey after disc 2 or once you get stables at the Chocobo farm Chocobo Betting Here you can choose 4 kinds of tickets you can purchase: C (1BET 100gil) B (1BET 200gil) A (1BET 300gil) S (1BET 500gil) The Higher the rank, C is the lowest-S is the highest, the better the items you can win or the more GP you can get. Once you choose the rank to bet on you'll be prompted to make your bet. You can make 3 bets in all. The numbers on the left are the Chocobos to bet on. example: You select the the box [1-5]. This says that you think 1 and 5 will come in first or second.(The order doesn't matter, 5 can come in first and 1 can come in second and you'll still win.) Here's a very good strategy to use while betting at Chocobo Square~credit goes to Edward Dabu.... First, find 3 of the best Chocobos..or ones you think will win and bet on all thre..example: You like chocobos 2,4,and 6. To increase your chances of winning you should bet on all 3 of them so......... Bet on [2-4] [2-6] and [4-6]. That way, if 2, 4, or 6 come in first, second, or third then you'll win. Get it? I hope you do because this is a very good trick. When my friend Edward stumbled upon it we won 2 out of 3 races. Chocobo Racing You are the Jockey now, you control the Chocobo's every movement, unless you put it in automatic mode. The first thing you need to race is a Chocobo. The best Chocobos to race are the Wonderful Chocobos (or Gold Chocobos when you get them Go here for Breeding help). You can catch them at the Ice continent. But make sure you catch one when it appears with rabbits or you'll gat a bad chocobo. The next thing to do before racing your Chocobo is to raise it. Go and buy some Sylkis Greens from the Chocobo Sage in the Ice Continent(he has a geeen house). You should buy about 40 for each chocobo, make sure you have lots of gill because 40 Sylkis Greens would be 500,000gil. After feeding go to the Chocobo Square and talk with Ester. Choose the Chocobo you want to race and start racing. If you gave your Chocobo 30+ greens then you should see that their stats are extremely bigger than other Chocobos, at least their stamina should be. When you win you'll be able to choose to get an item or some GP. Well, that's all there is to it to the Chocobo Racing! Wonder Square Wonder Square, quite possibly the funnest place in the whole game. Here you can play many games unless it's your first time there, then you can only do a few things. Games "Arm Wrestling Mega Sumo": 100gil In this game you must press the circle button as fast as you can to beat either a Sumo Wrestler(easy) or an ordinary Wrestler(hard). pay-off: sumo: 1GP wrestler: "Basketball Game": 200gil This game is not as easy as it looks. You have to hold the circle buuton for power and release it to shoot a basketball. pay-off: ? There are 3 levels of difficulty. Begginner, Hard, and Crazy. If you ride it enough and break some records then a yellow balloon will smetimes appear at the start. If you touch it then you'll get Time attack mode. All the obsticals will be taken away and the music plays faster the faster you go...(you can go up to 150km/hr on begginner track) pay-off: none "Fortune Teller": 50gil You hear the slot sound and a message appears telling your fortune. pay-off: none "Mog House": 100gil This is a cool game. Here are some of the effects.(thanks goes to Crono600AD for these!) -Minimum -Toad -Poison -1/2 MP -1/2 HP -Accessories get broken -(color) Orbs have no effect (That color that you get will determine which ones you can't use) -All orbs have no effect. -Cure (recover all HP) -Lucky 7 (nuetral) Item List Remedy=100bp Enemy lure=250bp Right Arm=500bp Pre-Emptive=1000bp Regan Greens=2000bp Speed Plus=4000bp Stardust=8000bp Chamionship Belt=16,000bp Omnislash(limit 1)=32,000bp W-Summon(Limit 1)=64,000 Some tips when Battling Your main fighter should be Cloud. Don't tey to go for anything over 10,000 bps until Cloud is at least level 60. If you have Slash-All or2x=cut(4x-cut) then you'll make it easier for yourself. Shield will help you big time. When physical Attaks don't hurt you then you've got the battle in your hands. After you win all 8 battles and you're done cashing in your points, leave the square and talk to the girl at the bottom of the stairs. she'll give you "Sprint Shoes"`they put you in [haste] automatically.
