What is Sailor Dub?
What is Sailor Dub? I wish I knew exactly; It's meaning for me seems to change everyday. Well
the simple answer is, "Sailor Dub shows the differences between the Japanese and English language
versions of Sailor Moon." however this is not completly true. Sailor Dub started out as an old
green spiral notebook that I one day decided to jot down the changes I noticed between the
Original and the Dub. However when I decided to put my observations together into a website, I
discovered that I did not have enough information. I needed more detailed information, not just
about the differences between the two but also the similarties. As I learned more I also began to
note information about the many different characters and their relationships. Finally after many
months of work I began to notice all the little things, that many people overlook, which make
Sailor Moon such a great show in the first place. Now to answer the question What is Sailor Dub?
"Sailor Dub is my way of expressing my love of this show and to help people with limited
knowledge about this show, discover why this show is a beautiful and enjoyable no matter what
language or form it is in.
About the Reviews
I do not speak Japanese so I am basing all my information about the language on my fansubs. I
have attempted to list every possible difference between the Japanese and the English Dub,
 witthin reason, as well as point out some of the finer points of the show such as funny scenes
or unusual character behavior. I have also tossed in a few non-Sailor Moon characters here and
there just to add a little more comedy to these reviews. However, I have also tried to remain as
objective as possible. It defeats my whole purpose of doing this if I just tell you what is good
or bad. Some scenes get so baddly dubbed at times I don't even want to even try to explain what
happened, because if I did it wouldn't be pretty. What I do is transcribe both the Original and
the Dub and let you see for yourself what the changes are and let you draw your own conclusions.
