The
Colussi CS 100 operating table for universal surgery has been designed
as a systemic approach to the whole surgical aerea and for ergomic otptimization
for both the patient, the surgeon, the assistents and maintenance.
The articulation of the universal table top consents all operating positions
for patients of different size.
distant

transparency is maximized in the Colussi table using few metal parts
in the top structure
manual
movement of the table is provided for the case of a black out
a
connecting centre for wires and ducts avoids stumbling over cables on the
floor
different

the positioning of an electric contact plate for vein suturing is shown

the
surgeon can place his feet under the base to bring his baricenter near
the operating zone lessing strain on his back muscles.
The
operating room is the most cost intensive area in a hospital. Much can
be done to optimize its functionality for surgeons assistents, patients
and maintenance. The Colussi table has an interchangeble top so that a
quick turnover of successive teams is possible preparing the second top
with the next patient beforehand.
Some of the real problems in an actual operating situation are shown
on the following slides.
