The tester for Pantec (a division of Gavazzi) presented special graphical problems because it can be used for many different measurements, each with its own symbols and scales. We solved this complexity by using distinct displays in red and in white and by avoiding 'disturbing' details like the frame of the window. This latter was achieved by creating the entire product in transparent polycarbonate and then printing and screening it at the inside. This has several advantages, such as: 'Buttons' at the sides permit fixing straps for hanging the tester in front of the operator to free both hands for holding the tester pins.
