that Kame-sama's shades?) One of the most helpful characters in the game,
Melchior is also known as the Guru of Life in 12,000 B.C. He was thrown
by Lavos (as well as the other Gurus) into a time portal and was sent into
the future where Crono lives (1000 A.D.). He's a great swordsmaker
and helped Crono a lot by making useful weapons to them (Rainbow
sword, Prism dress, Prism
helmet). He was the creator of the legendary Masamune
and the only one who was able to fix it when it was broken. |

Gaspar

Gaspar
the Guru of Time. He was thrown by Lavos into the "End of Time" and have
been living there ever since. He served as a guide to lost time travelers
who ends up there and guided them with their journey as he guided Crono
with his.
He was also the creator of the Chrono
Trigger, an egg which will help Crono's friends bring Crono back to
life if they really believed in it. |

Belthasar and Nu

lonesome Guru of Reason. Belthasar is the brilliant creator of the Blackbird,
Ocean Palace and the Epoch. Just like with the other Gurus, he was thrown
by Lavos in another time and was sent into the future 2300 A.D. There he
spent the remaining days of his life inventing the time machine and losing
his mental stability along the way. His adorable assistant, Nu, helped
him finish his task to help Crono after his death. |

Queen Zeal

of Janus and Schala, she is the powerful queen of the Magical Kingdom of
Zeal. Possessed by Lavos, she created the "Ocean Palace" where the Mammon
machine was placed to amplify the power of Lavos. She was only set free
from Lavos' power when she was killed battling Crono and his friends. |

Schala

Sister of Janus and a lady with strong magical powers. Schala was used
by Queen Zeal to help her of making the Mammon machine work and wasn't
able to resist because of love for her mother. Still, she helped Crono
escape when they were captured and begged the Prophet to let them go. When
Lavos was awakened, she was thrown into a time portal and was never found
ever since. Magus is still searching
for her somehow up until now.
She was also the original owner of Marle's
pendant which was used in magically opening secret doors in her palace
and other locked items scattered in their world. |

Janus

| Just
like her mother and sister, Janus was also an enlightened child with magical
powers (but not yet fully emerged yet). As a child, he was very unusual
and people who've seen him felt that his powers were naturally from the
dark side. He was unfriendly with other people except to his sister and
his cat. Just like Schala, he was sent by Lavos in another time to get
rid of him. He ended up in 600 A.D. where he was found by Ozzie
in the forest and nurtured him until he was grown up. He was then known
as Magus, the Prince of Darkness and
hoped that one day he could get his revenge by gaining more power from
black magic. |

Dalton

| Dalton
is the Queen's chief officer of the guards. He confronted Crono many times
and was beaten very badly many times also. Eventually, he lasted longer
than the other villains and was able to survive even when the Zeal Kingdom
went down and was destroyed. He took over the Blackbird (a VERY big aircraft)
and stole the Epoch from Crono and his friends. He was able to put wings
into the time machine and was able to make it fly. That's how Epoch got
his wings. Dalton planned of taking over the world but was stopped again
by Crono's group. After he was defeated, he was never seen again. Suspicion
has it though that he is still alive. |
