Vegeta hated the humans. He hated everyone. But especially the humans. But the person he hated most of all was that whinny little blue haired girl, what was her name? Bulma. Then he heard a rustling in the tree nearby. Whoosh "What was that?" Vegeta thought as he raced forward to investigate.
Bulma was walking home from Goku's house. Chi Chi had given her a mouth full when she brought Gohan back to her. She walked through the park, as this was the route she took to calm herself down. As she walked, she felt a wind blow by her. She sensed something and looked up in a tree. There, barely standing was a short man with spikey hair and all battered and bruised. Then he fell. For a girl with her looks, she was pretty strong and she caught him as he fell. "Ah! Vegeta!" At first Bulma wanted to drop him and run away, but he looked pretty injured. He didn't look that scary up close she thought and walked home with him in her arms.
Fortuantly, Dr. and Mrs. Briefs were out of town for a week, so no one was home when Bulma brought Vegeta into her house. She rested him on her bed and started to bandage up his wounds. "He's got muscles for such a little guy," she thought as she took off his armor. While she was cleaning his wounds, he woke up.
Vegeta immediately sat up. "You!? What happened?" "You fell out of a tree and I carried you home. I'm trying to take care of you now, so stop moving!" No one had ever dared yell at him. Vegeta felt like throwing a couple of energy rays into her face.
Her face. Vegeta looked at her face and felt this sudden warmth in his heart. He stared into those blue eyes...
"Ummmmm..." Bulma started to back off. This guy could really hurt her. Heck, he could probably kill her. And she heard that he didn't like humans very much. But he was hurt pretty badly, and he was kinda cute. "Look, just let me take care of you for awhile, then you can leave." Vegeta didn't like to take orders from anyone, especially a lowly human. "Hn. I'm leaving NOW!" With that, he left out the window.
Vegeta sat in a tree in the park. The human world was sorta beautiful, but he would never say this out loud. As he watched the sunset, he began to think of Bulma. "No one has ever mouthed off to me like that. She's got spirit. And she was kinda pretty..." he thought as he stared out into the city...
Bulma washed her sheets, since they had all the blood from Vegeta's wounds. She hoped that he would be okay, even though he probably didn't care if she died or something. As she walked towards her room with her clean sheets, she heard a soft thump. "That came from my room!" she thought as she rushed to her room.
There, in her room was Vegeta, lying on HER bed. "That little..." (You probably know Bulma well enough that her anger takes over VERY easily) She walked up to him and slapped him upside the head. "Don't get comfortable you alien," Bulma said, "Or I'll push you out the window." Vegeta turned and looked at her. Bulma suddenly had a sinking feeling in her stomach. What have I done? He's gonna kill me! Vegeta just sat up in her bed, and took her close to him. "I need a mate," he said in a low voice. "How old are you?" Bulma asked, suddenly aware that this guy wasn't as young as she suspected. "Older than you," he answered, and started to unbutton her clothes. He ran his lips around her neck. Bulma had never felt like this before. Then she pulled back. "We can't do this. What if I get pregnant?" "That's the whole point," Vegeta said and ran his hands all over her body. She tingled with pleasure. He kissed her on the lips, and it turned into a long wet kiss. Bulma finally gave in. "Okay, but just this once.."
The next morning, Bulma was alone. The night before was incredible, but he left right after they finished. Or so she thought, since she fell asleep right after. (Actually, Vegeta had stayed the entire night, and left just before she woke up.) She smiled as she thought of him. "I wonder if he'll come back..."
Vegeta watched Bulma from the trees, but she didn't know. He knew he had to protect her now, and he couldn't blow up world just yet. He never felt such emotion before. That day when he left her after she had taken him and tended his wounds, he felt an ache in his heart that hurt more than being stabbed. That's why he went back. He didn't know what love felt like, and he figured this must be it. The pain that he felt when she wasn't around, and the joy he felt when he was with her. It all happened so fast. And now... now she meant everything to him. He was hers, and she was his. At least he hoped so...
Bulma usually worked hard on her inventions. But today, she was staring out the window, thinking of her saiyan lover. Yes, she had fallen in love with the enemy. But he wasn't the enemy anymore, she thought. Just scary. She couldn't wait till nightfall, and see her lover again.
Sometime later...
"Uhh. I don't feel good." Bulma was leaned over the toilet, throwing up every 5 minutes. Mrs. Briefs looked at her with concern. "Maybe I should take you to the doctor's." They went to the doctor's and what they heard next was quite a shock. "Congradulations Miss Bulma, you're pregnant."
Vegeta ran from her. His love. His life. And he ran. He didn't know why he felt so afraid. He hoped that she would forgive him for making her pregnant. He sat down in a tree near Bulma's room and was determined to watch over her.
Nine months later...
Bulma was in the hospital. "WAHHHH! WAAAAAAAAH!" "Congradulations Bulma! You have a darling baby boy!" Bulma smiled. After 7 hours of pain, she finally had her child. "What should I name him?" Mrs. Briefs looked at her daughter. She was staring out the window, like she had been for the past 9 months, like she was looking for someone. Everyone cleared out of the room, to leave the family alone. Bulma lay in bed with her son, while Mrs. Briefs sat near the bed. "You never told me who was the father," Mrs. Briefs started, then she stopped. A dark figure stood near the window. Mrs. Briefs stood up, thinking that it was a thief, then Bulma told her to sit down and not to worry. The dark figure walked towards the child. Mrs. Briefs immediately tensed up, but relaxed a little when the figure bent down and kissed her grandson on the cheek. "Vegeta."
"You came back." Vegeta looked at Bulma with his dark eyes. "I'm sorry that I left. I needed time to... think."
"Think about what?"
"About what I should do now that I have a child in the human world. I can't blow it up now."
"You were going to destroy the Earth?"
"I changed my mind after I met you."
Mrs. Briefs was still in shock, but she opened her mouth to speak. "Are you... Are you the father?" Vegeta looked at her. "Yes, and I promise to take care of my child. You have my word." He turned and looked at Bulma. "I'll never leave you again. I promise." And he never left her side after that.
Ten years later...
"Trunks!" "What Kassan?" "Are you ready for school?" "Yes Kassan!" "Okay! Tousan will drive you to school." Trunks picked up his backpack, put his shoes on and waited for Tousan. "Vegeta, honey?" Bulma walked up into their bedroom. "Vegeta! I can't believe you're still sleeping! Get up!" Vegeta got up, and got ready as fast as he could. (Now considering how fast he is, he got ready in about... a minute.) "Now go! Trunks is waiting!" Vegeta ran downstairs, gobbled his breakfast and stopped right in front of Trunks. "C'mon Trunks, let's go."
