I don't know where this came from... I just had a weird vision in my head and I just went with it... This is from Duo's POV.
WARNINGS: Dark, angst, a little bit of Duo torture, AU, Yaoi, maybe some sap.
Oh yeah, and all characters belong to their original owners, (I own Daniel unfortunately, if you want to use him in another fic and torture him, feel free) blah blah blah, disclaimers and that kind of crap apply, yada, yada...
I walked to school, carrying my backpack on one shoulder. I smiled at the girls that passed by. I was always popular with the opposite gender. But the one I loved was the same as me. A fighter. A man. Most would look down on our relationship, but I don't care what the hell they say. I love him, and I wouldn't give him up.
I entered the school, meeting up with Heero and the guys. They waved, and I grinned. We walked to class together, just as the bell rang.
"Good morning class," Ms. Wakowsky said. "Good morning," the class mumbled. "Today we have a new student. Everyone please say hello to Daniel. He claims to have the ability to see the future."
"I can see the future," he said harshly.
"Ah... yes. Well, say your greetings, class."
The class mumbled their greetings. But I said nothing. He looked familiar...
"Solo! Don't die on me! Solo!"
"I told you he would die."
I looked back to see a young boy, probably about my age. He stared at me with cold grey eyes, piercing my heart. "They will all die. All of them." He turned around and left, and I never saw him again...
Him. I remember. He was the one who prophetsized the Maxwell Church Massacre. Him...
The rest of class went by normally.
After school, some of the students had asked him to see their futures, and he did. Most of them were happy, some were kinda sad, but nothing really tragic... yet. Then he started to say that he could see deep inside souls, and their secrets. I watched him from a tree outside the school. He told girl after girl their deepest darkest secrets. I was impressed, because each girl had said that he was right. When the last girl had left, he looked right at me. I nearly feel from my tree. Shit, how did he do that?
The next day passed by well until the end of the day, when he followed me from detention. I knew he was following me. So I did what my instincts told me. I ran.
He chased me, through the halls. I turned a corner and stopped, catching my breath. The halls were empty now, because it was late. Heero said he would be waiting for me. Shoot, I had to get to him. Let him know this freak was following me. I turned to head out when I ran into Daniel.
"Hello there, pretty boy."
"What the hell do you want?"
He smiled, an evil grin. "I just want you..." I tried to kick him, but he blocked. He knocked me into the wall, pinning me with his marble stare. "Don't touch me!" I yelled as I tried to get away. But he held me there, staring at me.
"I can see your secrets, your darkest desires. It excites you to be chased."
I shook my head violently. "No! I don't..."
He grabbed my chin and forced me to look at him. "You like it. You like the pain, the fear." He kissed me, pushing his entire body into me.
When he let go, my lips were bruised. My entire body felt crushed underneath his power. "Shit," I said softly and with feeling. I slid down the wall until I sat one the ground, my knees were tucked up. I hugged myself, and willed myself to stop the tears flowing to my eyes.
He cackled with evil laughter. "You know you liked it. You may say you despise it and run away, but soon, you will come crawling back, begging for more." He knelt down and caressed my cheek, tracing the jawline up to my temples and then reaching for my braid.
"Let him go."
My knight in shining armor. Heero walked towards us. Daniel just dropped my hair and stood up. "Hmph. I'm done anyways." He turned back to me. "You are Shinigami. Anything you care about will die." With those haunting words, he walked away.
Heero reached out to me, and I flinched. He pulled back, not sure what to do. I let a tear slide out and fall to the ground.
"Duo..."
"It's true. Everything I care about always dies. It's... it's not fair!" I slammed my fist into the ground, feeling a burning pain shoot up my arm.
Heero shook his head and reached out for me again. He pulled me into his arms and held me in his strong embrace. He looked at me, one finger coming up to trace my bruised lips. He kissed me tenderly, trying to take away the pain. I let the tears flow this time, knowing that maybe, just maybe, that Heero could take away my problems, if just for a little while.
