Hello Everyone! I just got out of school for a couple of weeks and I’m ready to type up a storm. I read a whole bunch of fics about Kurama and Hiei being one soul in two bodies, and the thought occurred to me. If that was the case, then how did Hiei get born so much later than Kurama? So I made this up to answer that question. The characters might be a little OOC, but I think that's okay, considering the predicament. I think this counts as GRAPHIC YAOI, but I could be mistaken...
Oh yeah, and all disclaimers and that kind of crap apply, yada, yada...
Melded in Mind and Body
By: Top Ace
Hima was known as the Flying Horse (That's what his name means... I think...) Hima was the strongest fighter in Makai. Or so he thought. He had always prided himself on being the strongest, but he did have a soft spot for females. He probably had a dozen heirs, but he didn't know. One night as he ran through the Makai forest at lightning speed, he suddenly stopped, fell forward and collapsed. His heart stopped beating.
Hima's soul travelled out of his body. His soul suddenly split into two parts, the mischievious theif and lover, and the lonely, firey fighter. The first soul, the theif, flew out and went to go find a new life immediately. The second soul, the lonely one, hovered near his old body, and flew around the Makai, wandering aimlessly for a little while...
One year after that...
The wind grew stronger as a young female youko was lying on a bed in pain. "Push! Push! He's almost out!" "WAAAAAHHHH!" "It's a boy!" The midwife took the young kit into her arms and gave him to his mother, who was now resting quietly. That youko kit grew up as an outcast, a silver among whites, so this youko left his den and set out on his own, to become a particular theif that we all know so very well...
589 years after that... (I think...)
In the Koorime Village, a young koorime was giving birth to one, no, TWO children. One grew up to be the dainty lovely ice maiden Yukina, and the other... The other child was cast out of the village as a Forbidden Child of the Koorimes. That other child grew up with no parents, no family for 6 long years...
6 Years after that... (Are you keeping track? Because I'm not...)
Kurama and Hiei meet up... Yada Yada Yada, you know the rest. But keep reading, I have some other thoughts to convey...
2 Years after the Makai Tournament (I think Human Kurama is now.. 21? And Hiei is now... 15? Whatever.)
Hiei sat in his room in Mukuro's castle. He had spent the past 2 years here, training under her. He went back to the Ningenkai every once in a while, checking on everyone. No one seemed to miss the little fire demon. Yusuke and that woman Keiko got "married" and so did Kuwabara and his sister Yukina. Yukina. He knew that she was protected now, and that she was happy. She didn't need him any more. The thought of that struck him in the heart. But he knew that Kuwabara was a worthy fighter and worthy of her love, even though others may think otherwise. Hiei was happy here. Mukuro was like an older sister to him, and he knew that she loved him as a little brother. He had all the family he needed here in this castle. But he still felt lonely. He hadn't been to the Ningenkai for more than a year. He envisioned a flash of red hair and green eyes... Why do I keep thinking of Kurama? Hiei wondered. A knock on his door broke his train of thought. "Hiei? Can I come in?" "Sure Mukuro." Mukuro walked in and sat on the bed next to him.
"Are you feeling okay? I noticed your ki level dropping..."
"It's nothing."
"If something is wrong, you can talk to me. I won't tell anyone."
Hiei looked at her for a moment. "Mukuro, have you ever had this... this feeling that something was missing? Or maybe... someone?" He said the last few words so quietly that Mukuro could barely hear them. "Someone," Mukuro breathed. "Yes, there used to be someone. His name was Hima. He was the strongest youkai I had ever seen. He was a great lover too. But he died of mysterious causes. I have felt his presence though, throughout my life. Especially when..." She stopped. She took her hand and placed it on Hiei's head. She closed her eyes. "You. No, only part of you was once his." Mukuro looked at him. "Hiei, I'm giving you a vacation. No wait, I'm ordering you to take a vacation. Find the someone that you seek." Hiei looked at her with confused eyes. He had no idea what she was blabbering about, and now she was giving him a vacation? This was definitely NOT the Mukuro he knew. But, why pass up a free vacation? "Um... Okay..."
Kurama was in his apartment. It had been two years since he saw Hiei. Two long years. He imagined that after they all had said goodbye, that the Urameshi team would get together every once in a while and talk and hang out. He did with Yusuke and Kuwabara. They now had wives, Keiko and Yukina, and they didn't have much time to hang out anymore. But before, the guys often teased him about being the most saught after bachelor but not having any girlfriends. Kurama never saw Hiei after the tournament though. Not one single appearance. He sighed as he remebered Hiei's constant grunting and bad attitude. He remebered those ruby eyes glaring back at his... Snap out of it Kurama, he thought. Hiei would never... His thoughts were broken when he heard a tap on the window.
"Hiei?" No, it couldn't be him. Too much to hope for, he thought as he walked towards the window. He opened it, and much to his surprise, a familiar little youkai dressed in black hopped down from the window. A small gasp escaped Kurama's lips.
"What kitsune? Do you not want to see me?" Kurama regained his composure. "I... Yes I wanted to see you but, what took you so long?" Hiei looked at Kurama with his ruby eyes. He saw that lovely red hair, and emerald eyes with... what was that? Was it sadness? Desire? He never saw anyone like this and supposed that desire and sadness looked the way Kurama did right now. He looked so very beautiful under the moonlight...
"Hiei? Hiei?" Kurama looked at his friend. Hiei was looking at him strangely. Was that desire that burned in his eyes? No, Kurama decided. That was asking for too much. He spoke again. "Hiei? What's wrong?" Hiei found it very hard to speak all of a sudden. "Mukuro said something about me being a part of another soul. Part of someone else. And I do feel like I'm a part of someone else... Maybe you..." Hiei's face turned red hot. Kurama walked over to his bed and sat down. "Hiei..." Kurama knew that what he was about to say would either make or break their friendship. "Hiei... I've always felt that way too. But only when you were with me. What I'm trying to say is that... is that..." He looked up into Hiei's innocent red eyes. It's so difficult to say, yet I feel the need to say it coursing through me. Kurama gasped for air, as if the room ran out of oxygen. Hiei was kneeling in front of him in a second, his hands resting gently on his shoulders, with a look of concern on his face before he stood back up and said "Hn. Baka. You almost worried me, kitsune." Kurama looked up at him and gave him a warm smile. Kurama! It's now or never! Kurama took Hiei's hands into his and said softly, "I love you. I always have. And I always will."
Now it was Hiei's turn to gasp. He had always felt so lonely, and thought that it would be that way forever. But to suddenly know that someone so beautiful could love him... He pulled his hands away from Kurama and turned to leave. "Wait. Please..." came the quiet pleading from Kurama. Hiei turned to stare into two emerald orbs, brimming with tears. "Please don't leave me Hiei..." Hiei felt a sharp sting at his heart. Each step he took towards the window only made the sting hurt more and more. He finally stopped. He turned around and rushed right towards Kurama. He jumped into his lap and put his arms around him. "I love you too, Kurama. I love you too."
Kurama felt his whole world suddenly fall away. He wished that time would stop at this very moment, the moment when Hiei professed his love to him. Kurama kissed Hiei deeply on the lips. Hiei sloppily kissed back. Kurama suddenly had an urge. His hands went underneath Hiei's cloak. Hiei gasped. Kurama had forgotten that technically, Hiei was only 15, a mere teenager. Kurama stopped. "I'm sorry Hiei. We can make love when you think you're ready..." Hiei looked at him. "I'm ready now."
Kurama layed back on his bed. Hiei took his clothes off, and Kurama took off his. They kissed passionately and touched each other, caressing the other person's body. This night was a night of exploration. Kurama taught Hiei how to lick and kiss and caress. To make him feel good, how to touch him and how that felt. Hiei had never experienced such raw emotion in his life. He had always thought that emotions made one weak. Now, now he knew better. Emotions were the best things in the world. As Hiei pushed himself into Kurama, they felt connected, as one being, as one soul.
After a night of love-making, Hiei was thoroughly spent. He snuggled next to his lover and sighed. Lover. That was a new word to him. When he thought that no one else in the world could have been more lonely, he found someone that was. He looked at Kurama's beautiful face. "Kitsune, you are mine forever, and I am yours. Forever, Kurama." Kurama opened sleepy eyes at him. "I promise you Hiei, you will never be lonely again."
Ain't that sweet?
I know, someone's gonna yell at me about how Mukuro's acting in this fic. It's not my fault, I've only read 6 of the mangas, seen both movies and one actual episode. I didn't even know who Mukuro was until I looked on the Internet. If you're gonna help me fix this, then be nice or else I won't be nice, got it? Anyway, send comments and an explanation of the real Mukuro to topace12@hotmail.com
