Hiya! My next fanfic is sort of a death fic, but that's only in the beginning. It gets better...
Oh yeah, and all characters belong to their original owners, blah blah blah, disclaimers and that kind of crap apply, yada, yada...
For 80 years, Hiei and Kurama lived happily in the Ningenkai. Then one day, Shuuichi Minamino died.
In the Reikai, Lord Koenma looked worried over one paper. "What is is Lord Koenma?" Botan asked. "It's Kurama. It seems that since his human spirit and youko spirit have merged so perfectly that they have to be reborn as a human again. Kurama can not become a youko... ever again."
20 Years Later... Hiei's Story
I've searched for 20 years. What gives? Kurama said his youko soul would come back to the Makai. I've been searching for him for 20 years. Where could he be? Could he still be in the Ningenkai? It's been so long, and I've searched every inch of the Makai. He must be there.
In the Ningenkai...
Hiei flitted (Hiei: AHEM! I do not flit! TA: Sorry...) Excuse me. Hiei LEAPED through the trees, searching. (TA: There, is that better? Hiei: Yes.) Anyway, Hiei returned to the apartment that had been his and Kurama's home for 80 years. He looked inside to see a human family. The father was reading the newspaper, the mother was cooking and the child... the girl was reading a book. This girl had long black hair and dark eyes. But somehow she seemed familiar...
Hiei's thoughts
Why do I sense youkai in this girl... Could it be? No, it's too good to be true. I had better watch her, just in case...
"Ayeka?" Her mother called sweetly, "Could you help me set the table?" "Sure mom," she replied and started to set the table. Then she had a sudden flashback. "Sure Kassan!" A redheaded boy helped his mother set the table... Ayeka shook her head. "Whoa. Weird..."
Later that night...
Hot, it felt so hot. What was this? Why am I a guy? Who is this boy with me? He has black hair with a white starburst, and the most gorgeous red eyes... *GASP!* Ayeka woke up with a sweat and this aching feeling between her legs. "Who was that guy in my dreams? And why am I always a guy?" Ayeka smiled at the thought of the boy in her dreams. "But still... that guy was cute. Then she shook her head. "That's it, no more desert before bedtime for me..."
Hiei watched her toss and turn on the bed. Then the girl woke up, and smiled. It was that smile that convinced Hiei. The smile of complete innocence. Hiei decided that now would be a good time to talk, since she was already awake. He jumped down from his tree to the window sill and tapped the glass.
"Huh? Who could that be?" Ayeka opened the window. The dark figure hopped through the window to the floor. He looked at her. "Damn it Kurama, I thought I lost you." And without waring he gave her a hug! "Hey... who are you?" She looked at him and gasped. The same boy in her dreams. The same boy that had... "What the... you're that boy in my dreams!"
Hiei looked up. She doesn't remember anything! But she said I was in her dreams...
"I was in your dreams?"
"Yes, I think. Black hair, white starburst, red eyes..." She looked into his eyes. "Yeah, your eyes. Can you tell me why I'm always a guy with red hair in those dreams?"
Hiei took a deep breath and started to explain who she really was and why she was having these dreams. "So that's it. You're a youko who got reborn as human, and now you're human again, but I don't know why." Hiei made a note to ask Koenma about this later. Ayeka looked at him. "Okay... You can go now..." Hiei looked at her with surprise. She doesn't believe me. But she's so beautiful... Hiei couldn't help but walk up to her. Ayeka backed up, and sat back on the bed. "Wha... What are you doing?" In a flash Hiei was millimeters from her face, his hot breath mixing with hers. "I love you," Hiei said softly. Then he closed her mouth with his, tracing his tongue along her lips. She gasped in surprise. She tried to pull away, but his strongs arms wrapped around her, refusing her release. Hiei moved in closer, taking his tongue along her jawline, planting sweet kisses here and there. This feels so good, Ayeka thought as Hiei went up to nibble at her ear. But I barely know this guy. She tried to pull away again, but realized that he had a strong grip on her. He's gonna rape me?! Ayeka started to panic. But all of a sudden, Hiei stopped. "I know you don't remember anything. But please try to remember..." He turned around and left through the window.
Days later...
Hiei came back during the middle of the night. Ayeka looked up at him, sitting up in the bed, with her arms wrapped around her legs. "I tried to remember Hiei," she said. "I'm starting to remember flashes of memories. I remember being a youko, then a human boy." Hiei asked, "Do you remember me?" Ayeka sighed and shook her head. "I don't remember any memories of you beside that one dream where you made love to me." Hiei grunted, annoyed at the fact that his fox didn't even remember him. He turned to leave. "I do remember one thing for sure," she said suddenly. Hiei turned and looked at her. Ayeka took his hands and lead him to the bed. "I love you..."
The next morning, Ayeka snuggled in closer to Hiei. But she found out she was snuggling next to thin air. "Wha... Oh man, he's gone." She looked at her current state of undress. "Um, I better get some clothes on. What was I thinking last night? Must have been that Kurama guy that Hiei was talking about. Oh well. Today's the day I move to my new apartment anyway."
That day, Ayeka, with the help of her parents, moved to her new apartment. It wasn't too far away, but it was closer to the college and closer to her job. "Thanks Mom! Thanks Dad!" Ayeka yelled as her parents drove away. "Now to start fixing up my new apartment. Hee hee!"
Hiei watched as the whole family drove away, then decided now was a good time to ask Koenma about Kurama. He ran to the Makai, and barged into Koenma's office. "Koenma!" Lord Koenma looked up. "Ah, Hiei. You're not supposed to barge in like that... AHG!" Hiei lifted up the little lord by shirt. "What happened to Kurama?" "Put me down and I'll tell you." Hiei reluctantly put him down. "Kurama's youko and human form seem to have merged so perfectly that they are now one and the same." "NANI!?" "I'm sorry. But I can help you locate his soul, if you want." Hiei gumbled his agreement, and Koenma gave him Kurama's new file. Hiei was right, Ayeka was Kurama's new incarnation. "Thanks," Hiei muttered as he left. Koenma was left in shock. "Did... Did he just say 'Thanks?' Weird..."
So Kurama was now reborn as a fragile human girl. Damn, Hiei thought. Makes it harder to protect her. Hiei leapt through the city to Ayeka's new apartment.
"Let go of me! Help!" Ayeka had opened the door when the bell rang and two men had pushed their way in, and were now forcing them selves on her. "I said, let me go!" Ayeka cried a mental cry for help. Hiei! Help me...
Hiei felt something incredibly wrong and raced towards Ayeka's house. He saw that the door had been pushed in, and knew that something was wrong. He went inside and saw the two men touching his fox. "How dare you!" Hiei said and grabbed the two guys and used the Ensatsu ken attack on them. The two guys saw Hiei's fiery arm and ran for it. Hiei looked down at Ayeka. She had several bruises and cuts, but nothing serious. "Thanks Hiei..."
Hiei decided that Kurama being female wasn't so bad, after three nights of pleasure. At least now, he could go in without making him... or her... hurt so much. He looked down at Ayeka, and watched her sleep for a while. I think I'll spend another 80 years here...
And then, I'll search for you all over again...
