(love those rude-looking zeros!), Okay, how long has this page said it was last updated on the 27th of July 001? how futuristic! the seal of the future!.
Still, if you are intrigued as to what we listened to in 1999,
and want to see some fuzzy pictures of the Stereophonics at the
Powerstation...
the old Bands
page lives on...
the bands currently spanking our planks.
SARA: is not actually here anymore but I can guarantee you she was MD-ing FEYODOR yesterday, and wrote a great article about her personal Smiths renaissance for instant intensity. and she still loves Belle and Sebastian, the Bluetones etc.... and she BOUGHT THE NEW MANICS ALBUM! More on Sara later, ooerr the text is dancing!
ALEX: my mum hates the avalanches. that boy needs therapy. ohh okay well what have i got lately? the Go-Betweens from an antique shop! yes! and the Clientele. from crawlspace. go crawlspace. After spending maybe 2 hours harrassing musiquarium boy i decided it would only be decent to get solex. i hate art rock especially from the epsom-ranfurly skool. i didn't even know that was a suburb until i called a taxi from there you know. the Clean tribute album is scary, especially Baitercell and Bressa Creeting Cake of course of course of course. i can not stop burping. blumfellllllllllld! the zombies are depressing especially for a 60spopband, why did i decide to make that a compound kraut noun? ohh i dunno anymore. my feet are cold.
great bands never to be ungreated Gorky's
Zygotic Mynci, Belle and Sebastian, Super Furry Animals, Stone
Roses, Shihad, Blumfeld, the Smiths (yep we
remember the 1980s) , the Clean, the Bluetones, the Charlatans,
Sigur Rós, Prolapse, die Sterne, ohh you know how
it goes on the old band list, go back there, come on now, yeah
nobody listens to the Unbelievable Truth anymore not even Sara
but ok you get my point, I am tired dammit school is crap bands
in pink may possibly be ones Sara hates. confession time, either of us may possibly
own these CDs and be deemed highly un-rock. Anything by the
Manics. Blur's Parklife. Suede's Head music, the ABBA tribute on
Flying Nun, Supergroove, a Superjesus single which was indeed
bought when i was 11, Thorazine Shuffle, You Am I (still on high-rotate
haha), the crappest album ever by the Clash (NEVER on high-rotate),
and an ever-growing J-pop collection that we only wish was bigger... so go and rock in
the mainland if you forgive us
yes that is a word now
