Okay, I'm not gonna waste anybody's time by explainin' what pokemon is, you already know, and if you don't....you really need ta get out more often. Anyway, Pokémon Pinball has more to it than you'd expect from a pinball game. You can catch pokemon, and record them in your pokedox, but it's the same ol' info ya got in the pokedox in the original Pokemon, so you've already read it. To catch pokemon, first you have to activate "catch 'em mode", then you have ta bounce your ball offa the electrodes that are on the top of the screen (they're just like those regular circles that bounce your ball all over the place, all pinball games have 'em), after you've hit the electrodes enough the pokemon
appears, then you have to hit the ball off of it until it's weakened enough to catch. It's not nearly as addictive to catch pokemon in Pokemon Pinball than it was in regular Pokemon. Pokemon Pinball also only has 2 basic courses (pinball tables, whatever ya wanna call 'em). So you can imagine that it'll get old pretty fast. The graphics are sweet though, and the music is straight outta the original Pokemon, so I don't have any problems with it. The control isn't that great, you really don't feel like ya have that much control over the ball, and if you let the ball roll down to the tip of your flipper then flip it, the ball will shoot straight down, usually resulting in a lost ball. It doesn't do that all the time, but often enough to make you reluctant to let the ball roll down that far. Don't get me wrong though, Pokemon Pinball is fun, but not as cool as it looks and sounds. The rumble feature is really cool too, also you can shake the table to the left, right, or up. As far as I know that's never been done in a pinball video game before, and you'll need to master tilting if ya wanna get a decent score. I give it a 3.5 outta 5. It's a little better than that, but the next closest thing is a 4, and I don't think it's that good. By the way, if ya like this game you'll love Kirby's Pinball Land.
