Almost. That about sums up my view of Zelda. Sure,
the games graphics were better then the best (for now). And the detail
was great in this quest. The story line and how everything fit in at some
point for something, was great. The only thing I thought wrong was the
ending (I won't get into it here, for those who have not finished it).
Gameplay was great, as most everything was not to hard to control. Replay
value may not be so good though, at least not for some. To sum it up, I
liked everything that was done except for the ending plot.

This game is by far the best game I have ever played.
In past Zelda games it was sometimes very easy to figure things out due
to the "flat screen effect" (no depth perception). With this effect Link
moved up,down, left, and right. Also you could see everything in the room
even if Link was behind a wall or statue. Secrets such as a crack in thewall
were obvious due to highlighted objects and weird rock formations. In the
64 version of the game you get a more real effect. You don't know what's
around the next corner unless you actively go around the corner and see.
Also with the better graphics a crack in the wall may be hidden by doing
nothing more than slightly changing the color of the lines between bricks
from a light blue to a light green. A good example of this is in the Water
Temple. At the part where you have to bomb the walls at each end of a U
shaped hallway and move the block through that hall to push it into the
water onto a switch and raise the water level to the ledge above drove
me insane for about three days. I couldn't find out how to get on the other
side of the bolck to get it into the water. I wandered around the temple
forever trying to figure it out. Finally my problem was solved when I investigated
the afore mentioned room and discovered much to my profound joy that the
wall was slightly colored differently than the rest. Now I had sworn that
I had searched that room top to bottom but I had missed the wall upon a
casual investigation. Now if you ask me that
is some pretty clever work on the game designers part. The life like colors and the 3-D depth perception puts this game in a leage of it's own. Not to mention that the stategy of the game is some of the best I have encountered. I could go on all day about how this game has revelutionized the gamming industry but that would be absurd! I'd be typing forever! All I can say is go out and experience the game for yourself and enjoy the awe inspiring music, sights, sounds, and strategy of The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time. Rating: 5 (excellent) If I could give it a higher rating, I would!

The new Zelda game for Nintendo 64 takes the game
a step ahead of the rest. With excellent music and spectacular 3 dimensional
environments. In the game once again you are Link and are helping Princess
Zelda search for the tri-force. The game spans a seven year period in which
you grow from a boy to a great fighter. Legend of Zelda in my opinion defiantly
one of the best N64 games out so far.
