What might be the next biggest story to one of Toonami's members this year, this time, concerning Sailor Moon (yes, I know I'm a fan, but this is still news, y'know).  The longtime rights holders to Sailor Moon in North America, DiC, have taken a hike.  In a news story that broke out from the SOS Headquarters, DiC has lost it's rights to produce anymore episodes of Sailor Moon.  This could have become somewhat apparent to people after the fact it was Pioneer - who has done every episode of Dragonball and Dragonball Z in NA - that brought over the three Sailor Moon movie specials as well as bringing back the voice cast from DiC to do their parts.

This is both considered good and bad.  Right now, despite Pioneers' production of the Sailor Moon movies, they have not opted to pick up the series and produce it's remaining 3rd, 4th, and 5th seasons... yet.  Sailor Moon has a widespread fanbase, ranging from children to young adult, as well as having a major foundation in online support (go to the Anime Turnpike and check out the overwhelming number of Sailor Moon sites).  Whomever it is, it should be a far cry from the production that DiC put forward, though not awful, it could have likely benefited from a stronger backer.

For the full story, see the SOSHQ

The News of the Moment:
THE BIG MAN IS COMING BACK TO T:TU SOON
You'll find out soon enough, but if you've been hanging around this site long enough, then you know who I'm talking about.

Been taking taking some time in updates.  Unlike Nemalki, though, my lack of update is more due to the curse known as life.  But, an effort to keep the site fresh is underway, bringing back an old face, and hopefully adding to several sections in here will make it all worthwhile.  Look sharp now.

Another gaming magazine that has some ties to the world of anime, Gamers Republic, has brought more exposure to Toonami.  The current issue (Jan.2000) brings attention to the upcoming addition to Toonami, again, Gundam Wing.  Bandai has big plans to push merchandice of GW once the series breaks in March.  The numerous fans in Japan and the established fanbase for Gundam in North America will be the major drive for when Toonami begins to air the series.  It's looking better and better by the month, which, but the way,  is alittle under three months away now.
