Episode 15

The smoke was everywhere when Ryu felt that he could hardly breathe.

"Ryu!! Ryu!!!! Wake up!!!"

Ryu knew who was calling him but his eyelids were heavy. He was weary by the effect of the medicine he took yesterday evening.

Hakuei knew that he had to do something or the fire would reach them. He wrapped Ryu's half-sleep body with the bed sheet and lifted the slim body up.

"Hakuei.. What's happening?"

Ryu murmured under his breath.

"Fire!!! The hospital is now burning. Keep you head under the sheet or the fire will lick your skin"

Hakuei told Ryu and rushed his feet toward the stairs. But, the fire was coming up. He ran to the fire exit instead.

The smoke was getting heavier and the blond hair could hardly move as he was carrying Ryu. Just then, a burning operation door was falling into him.

Luckily, Hakuei jumped. Both men hit on the ground.

"Ahh!!!!"

Ryu cried out as the heat was burning his skin. The smell nauseated him and he knew that soon he would lose his conscious.

"Are you alright? Ryu-chan!!"

Hakuei asked concernedly. He was over-exhausted.

The black-haired man tried to open his heavy eyelids. He saw Hakuei's face but the vision was blurred. He knew Hakuei couldn't go far with him.

"Hakuei…. Leave me here! I can't go any further"

Hakuei turned to look at Ryu's face. His eyes bewildered.

There was some kind of explosion from in the room.

"What!!! You mean you want me to leave you like this? NO way!!!"

"Noo… Hakuei… at least you will be saved.. we can't go .. like this.."

Before Ryu could finish what he wanted to tell, another burning thing fell down on them. Hakuei pulled Ryu close to him…

"Argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Was the last sound, Ryu heard from Hakuei before everything before him went completely dark.

The pink-haired man hurried up the stairs and went toward a room. He pushed the door without knocking and entered with a high speed. There was a doctor and two maids,Yukari and Emiru, in the room. On the bed, laid a slim body of his beloved man.

"Ryu!!!"

The black-haired man on the bed slowly opened his eyes when he heard the voice he longed for.

Sugi hastily went near him and sat on the chair by the patient bed and took hold of his hands.

"Well, he is fine now. Nothing to worry about. I will write the prescription for him"

The doctor told Ryu's maid and walked toward the door. Yukari signaled Emiru to follow him out.

After all of them had left, Sugi said in low trembling voice.

"I nearly have heart attack when I heard that the Hospital was fired"

He still couldn't calm himself down.

Ryuichi was so happy to see Sugi still cared him. He managed to smile wearily.

"I… I thought you didn't love me anymore"

Ryuichi said while trying to hold back his tears.

Sugi gently stroked Ryu's soft hair with his finger.

"Why do you think like that?"

Ryu knew he couldn't bear his raising feeling anymore. He turned his face away. And said in thin voice.

"You didn't come to see me.. and you.. get married"

By saying that word, Ryu burst into tears. He thought he shouldn't survive from the fire.

Sugi smiled contentedly . He was so glad that Ryu loved him this much.

He comforted Ryu by rubbing his hair and pulled Ryu's close to him.

"I am wrong to you, Ryu-chan. What should I get punished to deserve this guilt? But believe me, I did go to see you when you were in that fatal hospital"

In that moment, Ryu looked up at him. He hiccuped but seemed happier. His face now filled with some blood.

"You did?"

Ryu asked couldn't hide the delight in his voice. Just only a few mins., his face went sad again. He lowered his face down trying to hide his face from Sugi's sight.

"But you are a married man. You belong to .. him"

Sugi smiled and said

"I belong to no one except you, Ryu. I swear I had nothing with Hyde"

Ryu looked up again in disbelieve.

"Sugi-chan. I am not a 3-year-old kid!!"

"Why? Ryu. Believe me! I'm telling the truth"

Ryu turned his face away trying to leave the tall man. Sugi knew that Ryu was still mad at him. He forced Ryu toward him and pressed his hot, seductive lips on Ryu's cold ones.

The frightened Ryu tried to turn his face away but Sugi had firmly locked his chin up between his strong fingers.

Not long, Ryu was defeated by the desire inside his own and kissed back to the pink-haired man.

"I just followed my mother's word to marry him"

Sugi explained in sad voice.

"Didn't you love him?"

"Not even a minute. And I know that he wanted me just only to satisfy his pleasure. You know exactly how he likes to beat up other children by being treasuring superior things. My case is just the same. He haven't known who he truly thinks of"

Sugi calmly explained while lowering his long eyelashes down. Ryu was about to reach Sugi's face to comfort him but someone interrupted.

"Ryu-bou-chan!!"

Emiru called him following by the red-haired guard.

"Hakuei-sama is now knowing himself. Hide-sama wanted you to meet him immediately!"

Hearing that Hakuei is now back to conscious Ryu was delight. He tried to get off the bed. The red-haired guard came to help him.

"Stay there!"

Sugi shouted.

"I can take care of him"

And the pink hair tried to help Ryu to rest one arm on his shoulder.

"It's okay, Die"

Ryu said thankfully. But Die stared back strongly at Sugizo while receiving the same stare from the pink-haired man in return.

A sound of scattering glasses emerged from the room Ryu was going to enter. The door flung open and Hide came out.

"Dad, how is Hakuei?"

Ryu asked wearily but Hide just only shook his head. Ryu's eyes went wide as he dashed into the room with all his effort. Sugizo tried to follow but Die blocked him.

"OUT!!!! I don't want any of you to look at me. Don't feel pity to me!!!"

Hakuei yelled madly while throwing everything happened to be near him whoever in the room.

Ryu stood still when he saw the clean bandage wrapping around the eyes of the blond-haired man. Finally, he managed to let out his little voice.

"Hakuei!"

The blond hair turned his head toward the direction of the voice.

"Ryu?"

His voice was deeply sad.

Doctor came to explain to Ryuichi the condition of his patient.

"He is fine now. His bruises will soon recover. The only problem is I am afraid that he couldn't …"

Ryu stared at the doctor and asked in confusing voice.

"Couldn't what?"

"His eyes… we have tried our best. But they couldn't be cured"

"What!! Doctor! You have to help him!!"

Ryu shouted

"We used to have this case before… some could gain back to normal sight but that was rare"

"Ryu-chan.."

The black-haired man turned to see the one who called him. Obviously, Hakuei tried to search for the slim body but he could only the air. Ryu speeded toward the bed and sat beside the blond man. He took Hakuei's hand in his hand trying to calm the tall man down.

"I am here"

Never in his life, Ryu had ever seen Hakuei being despair like this. Never in his long-relationship, he had seen this blond man losing all his hope.

"I am no more than a silly handicap"

Hakuei said passed his gritted teeth. He squeezed Ryu's hand. A bit trembling, Ryu could feel.

"No. Hakuei. You are not!"

"What can I do when I am just a blind useless man?"

Hakuei raised his voice in anger and then, softened down when he realized he was so harsh.

"I lose everything now. Even you…"

Ryu breathed deeply when Hakuei's word precisely hit him. If not because of him, this thing wouldn't happen. He was the cause that brought this great damage to the man in front of him.

He felt like hundred of needles pinching into his heart. Hakuei always did everything for him and looked for the result. Ryu made a decision which destroyed both Sugi's and his heart.

"I won't leave you, Hakuei."

For a moment, Hakuei stunned by Ryu's word. He gently touched Ryu's face and realized that this was not a dream. He wrapped his arms around Ryu's shoulder and pulled him close to his chest. He didn't want to lose this figure…. even it could be just this moment.

Hide who stood outside the room could see what happened inside. He smiled with content. And gazed at the tall pink-haired man beside him.

Sugi was stood still, speechless. But he stared strongly toward the couple in the room. The line of his cheekbones appeared clearly. A lot of emotion, loathing, hatred and envious, twisted in his heart. His long nails pinched deeply in his hands.

Ryu lifted his face up and looked to the doorway. He saw the pink-haired face looked so terrible. The slim man felt his heart ached. He pressed his upper lip on his lower lip and turned away to avoid the pain sight of his beloved figure.
