The name of the kingdom of Phirionel and Ameria as a certain assonance with the well known Sailor Moon.

One of the villains, holding a roasted chicken, is dressed like Colonel Sanders the mascotte/founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC).

Giant Boulder
The scene of the boulder is equal to the one in the film La scena del masso è uguale a quella del film "Indiana Jones And The Riders Of The Lost Ark".

Ameria at Theatre
The costume weared by Ameria when she play the part of the hero at the theatre is like Hikaru's armor (Magic Knight Rayearth).

Sailor Gourry ^_^
While Gourry is going to Sailarg to discover who put a price on him and Lina; he must disuise himself to flee from the bounty hunters. The disguise make him appear like Sailor Moon.
Note: These contaminations between Gourry and Sailor Moon are present in all the 3 series in the epysodes #17 ^_^ (v. Next #17 and Try #17)
