Prologue

Silver Millennium
Shortly before the Fall
-------------------------------

The end is almost upon them. I stand here looking down on them and I want to laugh. There they sit positive that this way of life will last forever. I know what is to come, but I will not warn them. Why should I when all they have ever given me is misery? I am not in league with their enemy, as they will probably believe, but I will savor the coming events none the less.

I cannot wait for those happy smiles to be wiped off their pathetic faces, and for them to feel even a little of the misery I have felt all these years. My only disappointment is that it will be too fleeting. They deserve to suffer more.

I do gain some extra satisfaction from the fact that one of their own must surely know what is to come, but yet she has not done anything to give warning either. It is not her way to divulge information about the time stream.

The fact that she will let her precious kingdom fall, without even a few cryptic words gives me some pause though. What will happen in the future that she will let this happen now I wonder? I shake off such thoughts and concentrate on what will soon happen. It will be wonderfully chaotic, and I will enjoy it immensely. . . I am a child of chaos after all.
